unlock all unlocks for the rest

Halo 4 could get a boost in numbers if they allowed new players to have all the unlocks that modify gameplay. Not any spartan armor.

I think 80% of the fun of halo 4 is the customization. All support upgrades, armor mods, armor abilities, and weapons should be made available to all players at this point.

I think many people left halo 4 before they unlocked 10% of the customization. I think they are unaware of how fun these things are.

And honestly, at this point in the games life, I only want to play against people who have access to all of the options of battle.

Of course, the two support upgrades and tactical packages that came with the dlc should not be unlocked, they should be dlc only.

I would actually go along with you on this. I think everyone should have an equal playing field right off the bat.

I don’t agree that that’s why a lot of people left. I don’t remember it taking very long to unlock everything. I am also pretty sure that at this point everything that was connected to DLC is available. I paid for early access and that’s enough. I don’t think we should exclude others from it.

I do think the armor is a totally different thing.

Sorry double post again :frowning:

It’s so damn easy to unlock things in h4 (except armor) that i don’t think this is necessary at all. Many come along with specializations…
I didn’t even recognize which things i unlocked since I have my particular loadout which I’d never change anyways.

Many ppl left because of the customization.

I know u like IS and that’s fine, but unfortunately u’re in a minority.

I actually like IS and classic…

The minority in the forums, yes.
The minority in the population of halo… Not so much

The purpose of unlocks and Achievements is to encourage players to try a lot of different aspects of the game.

Not the armor skins. Just the stuff that gets unlocked as you rank up your SR. I knew so many people that did not even know, or know how, to choose a specialization at 50. Nothing that changes gameplay is unlocked for playing certain modes.

Only time spent playing the game unlocks these things. I don’t think anyone wants to put 50 hours into the game from scratch at this point, but if you allow all the support upgrades and armor abilities and weapons they may have fun with all the options. Most who left in the first month could not have Had full access to all the options.

…well they “could” “unlock” all those DLC maps. This would lift up the fun (:

Unlocking all the items would not bring people back, nor would it add a significant amount of new people. It would however make things easier for new people who do decide to jump in. Competitive games with ‘grind for power’ progression are inherently harsh to anybody diving in even a few mere weeks after launch. Even though Halo’s unlocks are relatively fast to get (the Specializations being the only long-term grinds), they still put people at a disadvantage.

The big flaw of this progression style is the fallacy that everybody ever is going to play on launch day and keep playing from there. It rewards the people who stay, at the detriment of somebody purchased later. Far as I’m concerned, it outright hurt fantastic games like the Transformers: 'Of Cybertron series and added an unnecessary grind to Halo that didn’t really pan out.

DLC should drop in price every year, imo, especially after the next Halo drops. I wouldn’t outright make it free, though, unless I’m certain it won’t make a buck.

Dlc is a different issue, I have talked about that before in different topics.

But no one wants to grind at an older fps right now. I will admit it was amazing fun for me at launch and kept me playing all hours with less sleep than I should have gotten. But now I would like new players to have stealth and wheelman and Promethean vision and boltshots.

The additions in dlc was a move to make dlc more attractive to buyers and I agree with that move. So dlc additions should stay dlc.
