Everytime I look at it, I don’t see a weapon or a pose, I see a Sangheili or somehting large charging at the screen. I assume it’s an elite because the background matches the sands of Sangheilios and Thel Vadam has recently been set to join the Killer Instinct rooster.
I hope it’s a playable race but it might turn out to be something like a conversion for your marines to be turned into Elites in Warzone. A powerful req if you ask me, certainly if the Elites will wield swords or be high ranking. Even the DLC’s name implies that something big is coming, maybe that could be the new modes, just spit balling.
Even to the people saying it’s a high end hammer still are ignoring the different colored background from all other Mythic weapons and pose that says t=nothing about a Hammer, it’d atleast show hte person with something over their head.
I for one welcome either of these changes mainly because again, playable elites has been highly requested and hte biggest st hread on this site, still alive even now after 3 years of faith but them not being included wasn’t an issue of balance
(I don't know how to link on this site) but resource management was the reason to them not being playable not an issue of gamepaly. I guess 343i had something planned to keep things fair. It was even said to might show up later. Also having Elites at your base would make it alot easier to defend because the only time marines do anything is when they either are ignored or when they cheese you wit ha frag. If anything Marines are just as easy to kill then grunts.
Speaking of, anyone have a confirmation from Warzone being the canon representation of foes power in Halo games? The mode is obviously set to a certain power level, i was just curios if anything has been said about it.
P.S. I put race in the title because it’s the cap. Species wouldn’t fit.
P.S.S. It could also be a new vehicle again the background color difference doesn’t make me thing it’s a weapon.
Good idea OP, it would be a big surprise if they did indeed do something like this. It does add a lot more variety if they added a playable race where you would turn your spartan into a Elite, which in thought would give you significant benefits to warzone.
But, in saying that, it does seem really out of the blue/rare scenario in doing so, I mean I too welcome the idea, but it just seems far off.
But the marine to elite idea does sound pretty good imo, just weird how that would all work. Does one person pick it and they all convert? What happens if someones already picked it, does it just become useless? Does the person get kills for each Elite kill? How long does it last, do they respawn as Elites or Marines?
But leaning too the other REQ’s, I people are saying that it’s confirmed it’s a Mythic hammer REQ, not too sure.
P.S
To link something, it’s the 7th Icon (On computer) Which says ‘Insert/Edit Link’, Like This
Okay, first off… They did not mention the Mythic REQ at all nor did they confirm anything about it. They said the new hammer has a skillgap unlike anything it had before, and no other hammer was mentioned. You’re just self-validating.
Second, no need to try and invalidate his speculation when yours’ is equally as invalid at this point.

> It would be awesome, but I doubt it. Sorry man
Agreed. I welcome anything and everything related to changes or additions like this, but I sincerely doubt that 343 cares enough or is prioritizing something like it.

> Well, you’ve got a nice imagination, I’ll give you that.
Exactly. Imagination is exactly what we need to be seeing from Devs and decision makers in general. I haven’t been pleasantly surprised or had my interest piqued by the actions of game makers in quite a while.
