Your opinion is pretty useless. I’m an average player. KD in slayer for most halos is like a 1.2 - 1.3.
in H5 beta? I’m at a 1.9 and my KDA is a 6.7
So how would you guess I rate the game? I think its awesome! Of course I would say that. Your opinion of a game is going to be heavily influenced by how well you’re doing. That’s just human nature.
So if you’re on here singing this games praises because you are suddenly a god at Halo or you’re on here lambasting this title because you’re absolutely terrible all of the sudden, try for the love of god to be OBJECTIVE.
Objectively speaking, this game IS Halo. IMO. I feel the thrusters have their moments of complete and utter annoyance. I feel the base movement speed is abysmally slow. But this is a beta and things will be addressed. I’m confident about next years release. You should be too.
Im not here suggesting that you don’t post your opinion. Obviously, that is the entire point. I’m just asking all of you, no matter how good or bad you’re playing at the moment, try to be objective. And more importantly, give it some time. Don’t come on here after getting destroyed in your first match and start bashing the game into oblivion.
All opinions, for better or for worse, need to be heard. Let’s be objective and constructive. We have a great opportunity to help build this game. Let’s not turn the forums into a poo throwing battle royal. They’re not going to take an ounce of this seriously if that’s all we do.

True man against a good squad you can’t even move really without radar and them seing you and ganging on you. It’s frustrating.

I did no such thing. I’m speaking objectively in my analysis. Key word. I didn’t claim I’m an animal at this game. Nor did I deny the possibility of me reverting to my usual KD at some point. I’m just saying that currently I’m doing much better than usual and that I noticed it was affecting my initial impressions. You can be at a KD of 57 and still hate the game. That’s perfectly valid. All I’m saying is that im seeing endless posts of people claiming it’s the worst game they ever played and in the same breath talking about how they can’t get 5 feet out of their spawn without getting smoked.

“Objectively speaking” and “IMO - In my opinion” are fundamentally opposed concepts. Here you’re expressing an opinion - you like the game. An objective observation is an argument of some kind supported by evidence. It’s humanly impossible to arrive at perfect objectivity, but it is possible to set one’s personal biases aside to arrive at a larger, more realistic perception of the world.
And regardless of all of us expressing whatever we’re expressing, it all just seems like a bunch of shouting in the dark.
343 will forever live in the shadow of Bungie, self-conciously trying to recapture the magic and simultaneously adapt to modern, more successful trends. The fandom is fractured. Halo MCC was botched. These forums are littered with negativity and disappointment and it’s completely unclear who this game is made for and who the audience is. The franchise is, unavoidably, in trouble regardless of whatever good has been done. And that’s a shame.

But KDA does. It’s how much you help your team vs how much you don’t. There’s actually a huge difference there.
And calling someone a scrub because he isn’t a 50 in H3 really makes you seem mature…

Yeah. Idk this was an attempt at a public service. Hoping that people wold take their play out of the equation when posting their opinions. It’s easy to have fun when you’re cleaning house. And it’s easy to hate a game if you’re playong like crap. It’s an ego defense mechanism. I want the best possible Halo game. If I cared about my KD, I’d say leave the game the way it is. If I cared about my KD and I was getting rocked I’d be saying “Change everything!!!”. But neither of those scenarios are intellectually honest.
