Yoyo! I’ve never posted here before, first timer!
So I fell victim to a 2 week console ban yesterday for “ruining” the game for others. Here’s what happened. Our xbox is a home console meaning it is shared between the whole family. It is a Day One Edition Xbox One. We got it due to it being marketed as a full home media device rather than a games console. All of my brothers and I are avid Halo fans and spend a lot of time on Halo 5. We haven’t had any issues since getting the console in 2013 and Halo 5 in 2015. However, in the last few days I logged into my account to go play some Slayer when I see that there has been a 2 week console banned issued to our Xbox. It says it is due to ruining the game experience for others. I saw something similar happen to Vetoed a while ago as a result of smurfing. The only problem is that there has been no smurfing on our xbox. I have a second account that I use to play Halo 5 when I don’t have teammates online. My second account has NEVER been a deranking account. It is only there to use for solo queuing. I can only imagine that 343 saw that not every account on the Xbox is at the same level, with my younger brother being silver or gold rank, and other accounts such as my own being high diamond and onyx and that they just assumed that this means that smurfing was going on. Because 343 Industries falsely assumed that there was a smurf account on our xbox, NONE of us are allowed to play Halo 5 for TWO WEEKS. This is utterly ridiculous. I hope that somebody from the team sees this and can address the issue. Just because the game is nearing the end of its lifespan in the wait for Infinite doesn’t mean that these issues should be ignored. PLEASE ADDRESS.
Thanks
