Universal Spartan Assault: Rather not buy 2x

Ahoy,
I picked up Spartan Assault on my phone a while back and was thrilled to hear of the inclusion of universal apps. (the buy once for all your devices thing MS has made possible lately)

I’ve already seen tales of people pulling the trigger and buying it on PC and finding it available on their phone and vice versa.

Except for me, (and others in sure) it doesn’t seem to have come over to the PC Store. It gives me the usual Buy option for $4.99 and that’s all. I haven’t proceeded beyond confirming the buy for obvious reasons.

Am I out of luck?

Always nice seeing another Halo PC title appearing though, I sunk a lot of time into Custom Edition and the unmodded original as well as 2. Always hoping for 3 to pop up here. I can dream right?

I think the buy-once thing only applies to new purchases that are made after two app listings have already been linked. Previous purchases don’t carry over, e.g. I bought Skulls of the Shogun on Windows Phone a while back and don’t have access to the Windows 8 version either, even though the two versions are now linked.

Actually I think it just applied to Windows Store purchases and not to phone.
Oh well…

It definitely does, I “bought” Hexic (which is free) on my phone and it showed under my apps in the Windows Store. It’s just that you have to make the purchase after the apps have been linked…

Only current purchases of Halo: Spartan Assault on Windows 8 or Windows Phone take advantage of the Universal App program, it is not applied retroactively.
