Units in hold position can't earn veterancy

So this is something I have notice for some time now. Every time I order a unit into a hold position and I see them kill other units and they should have gotten veternacy but they didn’t. Anybody know why units in hold position can’t earn veternacy?

This is not true. Hold units gain veterancy.

I know this from playing firefight and when my units stay at the walls and defend their positions.

I’ve had my Pavium gain veterancy 2 for being hold in front of a allies base because he kept getting harassed the most.
This is false.

On Xbox,

If you go to Options -> Controls -> Controller Layout (A) -> RB tab to Advanced Controls

You can then see all the Advanced Controls. Hold is RT + Double Tab LB

If you have LT/LB Swap enabled, then it is RT + Double Tap LT
