I wonder if we will have unique or outlandish accessories to put on our Spartans. It doesn’t have to be wacky or crazy, but I think it would be nice if we saw the return of the Halo Reach robot arm, and possibly other items like a hood. Also, if there were dope armor parts like this to have, they need to be aquired from a hard challenge or a lot of grind.
I’m hoping there are some decent items locked behind Achievements in-game rather than everything being unlocked through progression or through a store.
For instance, a full armour set unlock for beating the Campaign on Legendary, that sort of thing.

Given what we’re seeing with Season 6 of MCC: certainly not impossible we’d see things such as those.
A hood I have some concerns about in terms of whether or not it makes sense on Mjolnir (and just being a Destiny clone) but on the other hand there was poncho Chief so perhaps it still works.
I think 343 have learned from the recent backlashes in MCC and the H5 Helioskrill debacle that the line between MTX and items acquired via challenge need to be absolutely clear. Personally I missed the items which required Competitive list rank grinding in MCC as I was madly busy during those seasons so I’d love another chance to earn them, but likewise if i had earned them I’d be slightly miffed about them going into the exchange.
That said, they have spoken about temporal exclusivity - i.e. an item is earnable via a hard challenge and will then only be available to those who earned it for a specific duration - as long as that is made clear to folks when the item initially comes available then I’m fine with that too - the issue with the MCC ones is that it wasn’t.
When it comes to grindy challenges there’s absolutely a line: grind for grind’s sake isn’t good for anyone. I work full time and have an active social life etc (and trying to plan a wedding): I won’t thank 343 for every month there being a challenge which requires an hour a day minimum grind specifically for that one tiny item - I’m having enough of that trying to get H5 SR 152. If it’s time-limited grind it needs to be reasonable: if not and it’s somethign you’ll get by playing the game then I’m fine with a higher threshold.

Absolutely this. I’d like every achievement and maybe every commendation across Campaign, MP and even Firefight if it’s there to have armour attached to it. A LASO set would be the absolute bomb!
I’m really hoping for some fabric stuff like ponchos.
