How long does that DMR last you on AR start gametypes? Not long at all. It’s longevity is heavily dependent on killing players and taking their ammo for it.
Consequently, you can troll the opposing team by running with weapons automatics. They can’t resupply from your weapon drops anymore and you’ll run them out of ammo. They’ll only get more from when they or their teamates die.

WHy don’t I just grab your gun after murdering you when I run out and continue my spree?
Hahaha! I never thought of that! So now if I run a team of AR users the only way the other team will be able to stay on top of us is if they kill their own teammates for ammo. I seriously wouldn’t be surprised if Halo4 turns into Day-Z and teammates are holding each other up for their precious BR ammo.

Or they could just take your ARs and continue to outgun you?

I doubt it. While they’re all busy learning the same one-gun they’ve been forcing themselves to use for years, I’ll be proficient in the overall weapon collection and beat them with my own AR and leaving them scratching their heads as to how a “n00b” weapon isn’t working for them.
I don’t understand the flaw, here. I’d assume it works the same way it does in Call of Duty: when you run out of ammo on your weapon, you pick up another. I highly doubt anyone is going to come across an entire team intentionally doing that.
Hmmm, interesting hypothesis. My assumption would be that if I am having ammo issues with my default weapon, I am raping, as I am staying alive long enough to run low on ammo, so one could infer that my raping would lead to Ordnance Drops/Power Weapon control so I really wouldn’t need any DMR/Carbine/BR ammo at that point.

I know I was suggesting that loadout weapons are on the map even in playlists with loadouts and if they are not then hopefully before the game goes golden that could be changed and if OP’s hypothesis becomes a reality and ammo becomes an issue then a pacth doing the previously stated would be in order and would not take that much time to do (just some forgeing really) great thing about halo little things about maps can be easily manipulated.
But when you start making a comeback arent the just spawning with a brand new BR/DMR? It seems like an effective way to start a comeback, but not an over all winning strategie.
Huh? All I say when I see loadouts is “FINALLY I won’t have to run from one end of the map to the other just because I want a Carbine”.
Because when I DID have to do that, it was bull.
@Sizable Medusa: The weapons on maps are all going to be Taboo weapons and Power Weapons, ranging from Needlers to Rocket Launchers. Basically the stuff you DONT spawn with.
To be honest, just take ammo from your teammates. In Team DMRs I never EVER have to run to a DMR spawn for ammo. I just walk over my dead enemy. And if they happened to not have a DMR, I pick up whatever they DID have and use that for a while.
I’d assume you’d have picked up a new weapon at some point during your domination.
If you’re dominating with your spawning weapon and run out of ammo, and then die using a different weapon, you then get to spawn with your more friendly weapon again.
If you don’t die, that means you’re dominating with the enemies’ own weapons and don’t really need your spawning weapon.
In the meant time, there’s either ordnance drops or scattered weapons about for the times you run low on ammo and need more, or new weapon.
