I am currently playing mcc multiplayer on a pc that can only handle the games up to halo reach in terms of performance. I also want to save up space so I want to remove the remastered halo 2 multiplayer. The problem is that for some reason it’s considered a part of halo 2’s installation. Is there a way to remove it without uninstalling the OG halo 2 multiplayer.
I’m afraid not. Halo 2 multiplayer downloads both versions.
That sucks. I was hoping that there was a way. so its not possible to locate the right files and remove them. I only mcc through game pass at the moment. On the steam version, is it not possible to remove the right files to get back space taken by the remastered multiplayer? And in such a way that doesn’t prevent the game from running properly?

I imagine not. EAC would check for certain files being in position with certain hash values when it loads. Removing files is a surefire way to stop yourself getting online for multiplayer I would have thought.
