I’m not a Halo Elitist. I haven’t really played this game since it was on Xbox and could play split screen on a projector. I don’t think this tech test has improved my want for this title on PC.
It feels like the same reasons I didn’t like any of the other PC ports. Halo was revolutionary, but now it’s just old and behind. This game started the evo of FPS, but sadly it feels like an old title with ok graphics. As I’d mentioned before I’m not a Halo Veteran, more of an OG. After all the years waiting and the happy feeling I had getting the invite…There was this deep feeling of this is gonna suck. I went a played the re-releases of the old Halo Titles on PC and I just couldn’t get into it on PC.
I tried using the controller (XBOX Elite Wireless 2) on my PC for nostalgia, but this made my experience suck even more —because who tf plays controller on PC in a FPS game…especially one that will be highly competitive…Not me. Mouse and Keyboard on FPS for over 25years.
*It doesn’t help that performance woes have struck my experience as well. It feels like proper 60 but there’s something causing unnatural screen shake (i turned the option to 0% after reading some tips to no avail) I’ve lowered graphics settings, double checked driver updates…
Halo Infinite Recommended System Requirements:
Operating System : Windows 10 or later (64-bit) - CPU : Intel Core i7-5820K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 - GPU / Video Card : GeForce RTX 3070 / Radeon RX 5800 - RAM : 16 GBMy system
CPU: i9 10900k
GPU- RTX 3090 FTW3
RAM - 64 GB
I’m sure i’m not the only PC player who prefers PC, that’s semi-disappointed for this?
…I’ll hold out for the campaign and the chance to play that co-op.

What’s the problem? The FPS or the controller (not sure why that is relevant to FPS if so?)
FPS limits are a known issue with this build.
Yeah everyone is having issues with FPS with the build but itll def be fixed as they claim xbox series X can push 120 FPS. But sorry you are not enjoying urself hopefully itll get better which im sure it will when we get to try out the newer builds with more content. Maybe u will like the PVP on sunday.

The last two years have not been a good sign for PC Gamers with releases lately.
Why don’t you just play mouse and keyboard? and this is a tech preview on a 2 month old build. What did you think you were signing up for? you are to find bugs and issues with the game not get on the forms and complain about the game that you obviously have no interest in.
What games do you play that you are even comparing Halo to? I am curious on that.
I’m a pc gamer and I use controller exclusively with halo. And the only real problem I have is the fps -100fps @1440p (I’m not complaining as this is a flight)
My brain can’t figure out how to MnK on halo for some reason.
It seems your elitism is giving you a problem aswell ironically. If you are comfortable with MnK just use it lmfao

Doing quite well considering it was dumped by its original developers and a lot of the ex pros and now has an ever growing list of competitors.

I feel some don’t understand what test flights are for. This isn’t a sneak peak at finished product. This is for testing and fine tuning for the final product. There clearly will be issues during these test.

I was playing with Mouse and Keyboard. I switched to Controller to see if that was the issue. And it does play smoother (slower) but I did not plan to play this game with a controller if that’s answers your thoughts.

As mentioned. I haven’t played this game in a while and I’m sure a lot haven’t as well, should have given us a mission in co-op to test out. Just saying.

My gameplay is affected by this. So I don’t have a great experience. You are much more than a notch below. I’m playing at 175hz @3840 x 1600 on a FTW3 3090, ROG z590, 10900k , 2TB 980 Pro, everythings optimized severely because i don’t game with this but in my freetime.
I personally only care about it being 60 fps even with my specs. 120fps on an xbox doesn’t impress me. 60fps on PC with nontha bs i’ll be ok.

I often play Titanfall 2 on PC with an Xbox One controller and regularly finish in the top 3. I also played Halo 5: Forge on PC with a controller and did very well, though I think that I was helped a lot by the fact that there were lots of people playing that were new to Halo 5. I played Infinite on PC and Xbox and used a controller in either case.
I mean the sole purpose of this preview was to test it which it clearly needed, not to build up hype. They stated there was a lot wrong with it going into it so if that’s what held you back from enjoying it, that’s entirely on you. If that’s not the reason though, it’s possible you’re just not into Halo anymore even if you want to be. It might suck but it is what it is. Not everyone is gonna like it and you can’t force yourself to. Might just have to move on and find other games to play.

It’s been stated this flight wasn’t fully optimized, hence the term Technical Preview.

The amount of times people refer to this as a “Beta” on Waypoint alone is astounding and while complaints are to be expected, I’m seeing way too many posts that strongly imply the poster was expecting a finished or nearly finished product and treat the Flight as like a Demo you’d download to try a game before purchasing it.
If people can’t or don’t want to understand the Insider Program is going to be providing content that will indeed have bugs and optimization issues and aren’t interested in that, then maybe they’d be better off opting out of the program and simply waiting for the full release of the games/updates.

I don’t see what this has to do with anything. But I own probably every PC game between all clients. I play a large variety of PC games> for FPS I prefer the Battlefield Series. I enjoy Sim Racingas well as the GTA, Watch_Dogs type games of the world. . I play anything I can get to run.

Great! I had no clue I wasn’t allowed to post a comment on my experience with the game 343 sub contractor
