I bought the Limited Edition because I wanted the extended FUD. But instead of a extra disc or even a download code, we get a streaming code. That sucks. My internet isn’t fast enough to stream at an HD quality. The same goes for the Terminals. We can’t even buffer the videos or choose a quality. If I’m offline I can’t watch them.
Why can’t I download my video in their highest quality to my Xbox 360 hard drive and watch them at my leisure. If I’m offline I can’t watch them.
I feel like I got suckered into buying a limited edition with nothing but a few DLC codes when all I wanted was a Halo movie in HD that I can’t even watch in HD.
Oh and I’ve been trying to watch here at halowaypoint.com and it won’t load at all. It just says “Acquiring Signal” forever and won’t play a single second.
I pay $100 and I can’t enjoy the HD video I paid for. Now I’m going to have to pay even more to get the DVD when it comes out.
I would have been happier if we had gotten vouchers for the DVD/Blu-Ray instead of this bogus streaming crap. We don’t all have Fiber Optic or T1 lines. Some of use are lucky to have DSL barely faster than dial-up.
I think Microsoft should change the extended FUD on Waypoint to allow for some kind of full HD download or send eveyone who paid for the Limited Edition a free copy of the DVD.
I’m getting the same problem - “Acquiring signal” and was hoping for just a DVD with Forward unto Dawn with the game. I’ve saved myself from watching the episodes so I could watch the whole thing and then play the game - it was too much hassle and just played the game instead.
Looks like while I bought the limited edition I’m just going to have to go on youtube and watch the normal episodes, seems like a waste of money.
Thanks for the silverlight tip, but I still can’t watch it in HD. The waypoint player defaults to Auto Quality and there is no other option. It looks terrible.
It’s bad enough that we didn’t get it on a disc, but we can’t even download it in full HD to even our Xbox 360 harddrive. Who’s bonehead idea was this?
Yeah, it’s also disappointing that the terminals require an internet connection when they are needed to fully understand the story. What about the half of the Xbox 360 market that don’t have online capabilities? They are SOL.
Anyway, don’t forget to forward the petition to all your Xbox and Halo fan friends. We need as many signatures as we can get.
Yeah. Its total bs that we didn’t get a Bluray, DVD, or even digital download for it. They really dropped the ball with that. I don’t want to have to be online to watch it. I don’t want to have to deal with it changing video quality all the time.
