UNFAIR WARZONE MATCH

the team i was on had a very unfair game in warzone all the blue team started to farm around our base and all our team members req pack would not load more than 1 req.

I already miss war zone turbo.

This is why I think 343 should copy Destiny’s “mercy rule”, so that if a match is a wash (800-200 or something like that), the game ends. Won’t fix the problem, but it will help.

Or, they could institute a 5 minute Timer to destroy the Enemy Core after you have all three bases, and if they don’t destroy it, the Core Defenders win. That way, Farming is actually punished in a way that discourages such behavior, not by an early victory Mercy Rule, but by an early loss that motivates actual gameplay as opposed to sitting and sniping.

The 5 minute timer with the core defenders could be a good idea but the problem is people would just let the enemy team capture all the bases hold them off at the core and get a free win.

While I understand conflict with farming a 5 minute timer is too fast. I lost a game of warzone last night, that you could tell the enemy was trying to push our core hard and took them at least 10 mins to get to it fully. They had capped all the bases within 6-8 minutes also.

That’s why my idea is the one that would work, and I think I might have been the progenitor of the timer idea entirely back when I posted it. It’s since become commonly stated in one form or another. I’d have the core timer, but when the 5 minutes are up, the defenders lose. The timer is the time left for the defenders to pull out of their home and make a comeback. As if they are not able to get out of their core for longer than that, they won’t win anyway. In addition, I would have the greatest amount of REQ points you can take away from a win start at max, and the longer it takes to beat the enemy the less points you earn for the win. That way, these in conjuction would function as both a mercy rule and an incentive to play the match as the rules actually intended.
