Unfair treatment for players from Europe

I think it´s unfair that players from Europe (like myself) aren´t able to get the specialization code eventhough they have all the other requirements. So if anyone has a spare code, I would really like to have it.

i heard you guys will get them in january. not sure how true it is but we will see

I hear May.

MAY ???
Jesus,this is would be unacceptable.

2014

I will be SR-70 for a long time :S

I don’t live in Europe, but I totally agree. I don’t understand why one of the biggest parts of the Halo community (probably only second to America) would be left out of this. It doesn’t make much sense.

I doesn’t seem fair.

But I’m thinking it might be the logistics of getting all the emails gathered and distributed. And based on what some people are posting, there may be a need to refine the process a bit.

I also suspect there are individual laws from different countries that have to be addressed beforehand. For example, these emails might be considered SPAM by a particular country and prohibited, depending on laws. The legal team also will need to go over the emails a few times to make sure that the wording doesn’t create a problem. Graphics may be an issue as well, again depending on the country.

This sort of stuff can be a nightmare for both business and user. I still think the best method would have been having a printed insert with the game itself. Fortunately, in the future, I’m sure there will be technology that would recognize your console specifically and give you custom messages just for you, which could include your allocated redeemable code.

=d

I would just like to know if players from Europe will be able to get the other specialization codes even if they didn`t buy te LE. I would appreciate it if I get an explination from the moderators.

I have heard of no logical reason why Europe could not have been included so that everyone can start on a level playing field. To my knowledge, it is an unprecedented and utterly disgraceful situation. 343 owe us an answer to this one…

I dont have anything to cite but, my guess is it had to do with licensing agreement issues.

There is a DLC card that comes with 3 codes, one for unlocking the other 6 specializations, one for arctic battle riffle skin, and one for the oceanic armor skin. There were a lot of UK retailers that had hundreds, and Im thinking it to had to do with licensing agreements and retailers.

They can’t even get the US codes right, I never got mine.

Europe being left out sucks. Honestly, this game has finnish subtitles (first halo game ever to have them), but then 343i lefts the whole damn europe without early specs? Seriously?? They should focus on big things first and then on the smaller details.

I got that very same code, it was originally a pre-order bonus but it would appear that they got more than enough to cover the pre-orders and it was available if I bought some halo 4 dogtags or something but after having an in depth convo about halo with the manager (also a halo fan) he gave it to me for free.

mighty chuffed about that like.

I’m guessing there is legality reason to why the promotion was not offered in Europe. That’s usually what excludes certain states or countries from participating in contests.

Us LE’s got screwed? I got all the maps paid for already which in the end does save you some money by getting the map pass with LE plus some fun little extra stuff like the alternative recruit armor skin and so on. All in all I saved up towards H4 LE for a long time and have been playing halo since CE and am HAPPY with halo 4. As far as it being a video game for entertainment purposes they hit it spot on. YES people that are dedicated to destroying noobs and being all about skill rank superiority might be upset, which I understand. (I had a 50 and two 45’s in H3) But over all its a pretty sweet game and I am just happy to see halo evolve this far.

I’m glad i purchased the LE.

I’ve loved Halo since Halo: CE and always thought it has been well above any other game. But this whole specialisation joke has left a nasty taste in my mouth, so to speak.

The game is essentially rendered unplayable when you hit SR70. Any XP you earn after this point is lost therefore making it more difficult to level up after the specialisations are released.

Nothing mentioned from 343, no replies to tweets and a blanket of mystery placed over the whole sorry state.

BUNGIE WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE THIS!!!

Rant over. Sort it out ASAP or Halo 4 will continue to gather dust.

What will happen to the whiners when you reach 130? Quit?

If you plan to quit then, who cares if you quit at 70.

If you don’t plan to quit, it’s no different, you are capped. Should have bought LE.

“Should have bought LE” - there’s a tired arguement, since stores closed orders for LE upto a month before release day as they could not get any more stock - Microsoft under provided LE so many who wanted it simply could not get it. Your point in invalid.
