Unfair to CEA Owners

I’m talking about of course DLC entirely here. I find it beyond moronic that you include all these new achievements into the game with no way for US to get them.

US I mean the people who spent a total of 20$ on both MPs. I’m talking about certain “Defiant” achievements. NOW before I get started I had friends with me that got Defiant chievys ON ANNIVERSARY MAPS.

So please don’t come in here saying you can’t, you can. But we have even tried getting a full party and just doing achievements on the Anniversary gametypes/maps. NO AVAIL!

My solution? Create an ALL DLC Playlist for BOTH vanilla Reach AND CEA? IE. you can ONLY play on Anniversary/Noble/Defiant. Why not?

We paid for the maps, we bought your game for 40$ in hopes to later play Reach MP with all of our maps. I don’t care about Sword Base, Forge World maps, all that crap I’m glad I don’t have to play on them.

I just want to play the maps I paid for, with the CEA Reach MP.

The DLC is for Reach and your using DLC for Reach. You want DLC to run DLC? Buy the game you cheapskate its a bargain now.

People get so fired up about a few gamerpoints.

I just spent an hour getting all those achievements with a full party of friends. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Get in a party with a bunch of your friends, take turns getting them. That’s all there is to it.

It’s called the ann. playlist, or squad DLC…

> It’s called the ann. playlist, or squad DLC…

exactly, and if they made another exclusive playlist the population would be so low it would take for ever to get 1 game. Look what happened to the Reach dlc playlist, and you don’t need the ann. maps to play it! now imagine your playlist, requiring both cea and ann. maps!! = < 100 players

> The DLC is for Reach and your using DLC for Reach. You want DLC to run DLC? Buy the game you cheapskate its a bargain now.

First off… how is Reach MP a “DLC”? The multiplayer portion of the disc runs JUST like Halo 3s MP portion of ODST bundle. How’re they diff. in any way?

REALLY? Have you yourself checked the prices on it as of late? They’re still outrageous! Went to GameStop.com = $37.99 USED (40$ NEW)

How much on Games on Demand? $40…

Yeah I’m a cheapskate for wanting to buy a game that came out 2 years ago and still hasn’t dropped to 20$-? That I’ve already spent 200$+ on Reach alone? I should pay 40$ just to get 3 achievements? NO.

I HAD Reach but gave it up as part of a trade in because the games garbage now. I don’t truly understand how all of you still play it? I really don’t. IT requires 0 skill even after the TU.

Only reason I kept CEA was for the Achievements (plus I love the campaign). So when it came down to deciding which to keep… wasn’t hard.

Whomever coded the MP portion is an idiot NOT to include an “ALL DLC” playlist. This MP side of it should be like that at least BY NOW.

You might as well spit in my face for buying Defiant. Thanks 343!

Like I said before, it’s called squad DLC and the ann. playlists…If you hate reach so much don’t play, ever think about that?

It’s called, if they would’ve (EASILY) coded the disc to let you use your Map Packs, we wouldn’t need this.

I don’t even understand how most the DLC playlists in Vanilla Reach still offer older maps, AND, EVEN FORGE WORLD MAPS? How are FW maps counted as DLC? That’s mundane.

I’m not simply saying that CEA should’ve had all maps included (like ODST). I’m saying that it’s completely unfair to people who no longer own the original Reach, but want to play on the Maps that we PAID FOR. Through the CEA Anniversary Multiplayer.

I just PRAY they don’t make the same mistake with Halo 4 I really don’t. Don’t try and seperate the community so much… it’ll be your downfall. Now I get it with Reach, you were handed this garbage and told to fix it… but wouldn’t you want to do things the community wants?

IE. An ALL DLC PLAYLIST that people have been wanting since Noble MP came out? What about Infection being fixed?

There’s so many bigger issues at hand they just didn’t even want to attempt to fix, it’s embarassing.

IMHO 343i should’ve let Reach die the second they got control over it. They should let it die NOW and focus more people and attention on polishing H4.

Just because you’re on talk shows and this and that Frankie, don’t forget how to make a truly great game. You helped make Halo 3, make Halo 4 the best. Literally.

Unfortunately, it looks like buying another copy of Reach is your only option at this point.

Also, it was advertised that the CE:A multiplayer would be able to play Anniversary maps ONLY. I don’t see how it’s “unfair” if you bought the game having known that. You gave up your ability to play on the map packs you bought when you gave your copy of Reach away.

i feel you on this. achievements shouldn’t be made to only be gotten on one dlc pack. i have them all and i thought that was a stupid idea.

HALO CEA, came with the Original campaign witch additions, Plus the Anniversary Only via Disc, and we had the opportunity to play All the maps through Halo Reach through the DLC. This was stated quite thorough back in November when they were announcing how the game and what not would be shipped.

There’s nothing unfair about the, except for how difficult and glitchy the achievements are.

Besides that, the point of the multiplayer on CEA was to use the current, already established multiplayer(reach) to replicate the multiplayer experience on CE without forcing players to ignore their progress on Reach in order to reminiscence about the good 'ol days. Now whether either of those goals were accomplished are not is another story. But bottom line is CEA was designed to use Reach’s engine to play CE multiplayer, not to play Reach.

That being said, personally I think it would have been a good idea to have included Forge World on CEA…if for no other reason than to use it to duplicate other classic maps from CE and maybe 2. I mean hell, Blood gultch is classic CE, but nobody can play it via CEA.
…Although I do have to admit, the Warlock level made on High Noon is pretty impressive.
