So i play all the game types and i dont usually have an issue with any of them… untill i want to get my areana rank up now this is highly important to me as halo as a games means alot to myself and i take pride in being able to be good at a game that takes skill to play but my issue is when im searching areana and any game mode for that matter i seem to get low rank people on my team like bronze and iron but get placed against people of a much higher areana rank like onyx or platinum and everytime i get close to ranking up this happens causing me to be stuck on this rank now in these games i usually have to attempt to carry the lower ranks to victory now let me exaggerate attempt! Because i mean im the only person on my team capable of getting over 10 kills dont get me wrong im not saying these guys are bad it just seems a bit unfair that im stuck with them while im in a higher rank i dont if its a coinsidence or not but its really irritating
I’ve had similar issues. I hate that to rank up you need to rely so heavily on your team. I’ve been the top player in loads of matches, but still lose because of my team, so I can’t rank up. and other times I seem to be up against ridiculously high skilled players, making it impossible to win!

It’s a team based game first off, so having to rely on team tactics is sadly what you’ll have to do. Secondly, when you go to rank up from say Gold to Platinum, the way the system is set up is to test you against higher levels to see if you’re ready to rank. If you lose, then you don’t because you weren’t ready
If your going to play any team based multiplayer I would suggest you take at least one other person with you in fireteam to have your back. I’m not saying I’m really good but I’m confident that I’m above average, and for the most part can carry a team to victory. I try to stay close to my allies for the most part, even if they are just running around like maniacs. Staying close to them allows me to have their back and prevent them from dying too much even though they don’t know it, and it allows me to survive encounters that I would normally loose alone. Remember, in a team based gamestyle try to stick as team rather than trying to carry the whole team by yourself. Halo is not as forgiving as other multiplayers.
If you truly want to show your skill go into Free For All. That’s where the fun is really at.
Can we get rid of the emphasis on teams cause obviously the vast majority doesn’t use Mics or even work as a team. So 343 if your listening cleaning up your -Yoinking!- mess, fix your broken csr, your small worthless radar and most importantly the sad excuse of fair matchmaking you retards
My internet isn’t the best, so I set it to focused yet I still get matched with people that get host privilege and make it impossible for my shots to connect before they kill me, resulting in them dying straight after i die all the time. Joys of being Australian, never getting a fair connection or an Australian host.
The matchmaking system is completely terrible on Team Slayer or any of the other Arena Playlist! I keep getting matched up with players that are way above my skill level. Freaking gets annoying! Fix the matchmaking system A S.A.P.
