Anyone else having some pretty ridiculous match ups?
Me and a friend played earlier and at one point we were matched up against TWO champions, one being Champion 47.
Please bare in mind we are both Plats (5&6).
I’m sorry but how does the system even decide that as a match? We got slaughtered.
It takes all the fun out of the game, I don’t mind loosing at all but I do mind being matched up against people so obviously out of my skill range.

Shame they opt to not show the population counter…
I got matched up against Champ 1 and 2 the other week… it wasn’t fun. Yes, the matchmaking system isn’t great at times. Although if you check on your game history, you’ll see that you only lose a tiny amount of CSR when playing against Champions.

Well when your 343 and make a bad game and do not want to own up to it. At least bungie had the nads to show population in reach.

So you don’t care about rank, but at the same time you want to play even match-ups against similar ranks?

In terms of matching people up efficiently, yes. For example Halo 3 I believe would be no more than 3 ranks higher of lower than you. (on a 1-50 ranking system for each playlist)
H5 should adopt something similar, rather than what… 9 tiers higher in its ranking system plus however it works out CSR?
I play doubles because I enjoy playing doubles. Not so I can show off a rank.
But it would be nice if the matchmaking system didn’t just connect people who are searching at the same time. I’d rather it say ‘no games available’ or search forever.
But then again 343i would then show the lack of players so…

In my team there were plat and diamonds.
Needless to say how this match ended

Yeah, I have similar experiences, but it doesn’t take champions. Just throw some diamond/onyx players in there and I’ll be having a bad game, lol!

Who cares about CSR? Getting steamrolled against Champions while you’re many ranks lower is not fun, and that is the issue here. Being completely destroyed is never fun, no matter at which rank you’re at.

I care about CSR, I like to try to rank up.
And TBH I found it an interesting experience. It’s good to see how those guys play, and thankfully it’s only happened a few times.
