Unfair Booting System

I’m so tired of playing with stupid -Yoink!- people on my team. I get betrayed 6 times by the same person and I can’t boot them, but as soon as I accidentely with an explosion, I get booted? Justice for this, please! That’s all I ask for. Just a simple request. Fix this. It’s just so stupid. I know there are plenty of other threads like this, but I didn’t want to search for them to post this there.

The betrayal system is a lot like karma, the more you betray, the less common it is to get the boot option when you are betrayed.
The less you betray, the more common it is to get the option to boot when betrayed.

Play with friends, problem solved.

I honestly can’t remember where I read this, but:

It was implied by Bungie that the formula which allows a person to be booted takes into account the amount of betrayal damage dealt VERSES time.

So it’s not like you both have the option to boot after the same number of betrays.

It’s more accurate to say: if you deal 200 points of damage over 2 hours, and get 1 betrayal, you could be booted by someone else who’s dealt 300 points of damage and gotten MORE betrayals over 3 hours.

Not sure on the exact math… but hopefully this opens your eyes to show you it’s fair in how it works. Just stop damaging your team mates.

With that said, I think you’ve exaggerated your story.

The thing is, I play Invasion with only like 2 other friends. I really don’t touch any other playlist at all. So most of the time, I’m stuck with a random as my spawn partner. The immaturity levels of some players in this game are just astronomical and it just bothers me, lol.

See at this point right here, some other people might just start raging because you have attempted to prove them wrong, but in all honesty, I am very glad that you put actual numbers to this and now I am able to understand a little more about this subject. So for this, I thank you.

snowproblem! I appreciate your maturity, and I can completely understand how NOT knowing what the system is doing, can seem to make it random.

Now that you know the meaning to the madness… spread the word! And by all means, hold your fire when there’s a team mate in the area, if for no other reason than to be able to betray people at will when they REALLY deserve it
