I hate this game now. It’s nothing but stress for me. There’s a certain bias to the gameplay like it’s predetermined who is going to win. For instance, I played two game just now, matched up with teammates that suck. I just quit out of the 2nd game because it’s bullcrap. I just got the overshields and the shotgun and I get killed with one melee from the enemy. I also have serious server lag, because I keep getting killed from far away with shotguns and assault rifles, but none of my shotgun blasts land on the enemy even when he is right in front of me. Needles don’t stick and it takes a whole magazine and more to kill an enemy, while they hit me with 6 needles and I’m dead. It’s all a load of crap. I can’t stand this game anymore. It’s not fun anymore and it’s doing no good for my blood pressure. My cousin and his two kids don’t even come on to play anymore because of how badly this game sucks. I’m done.

I have good internet. I got FiOS with 58 Mbps down, 60 Mbps up. I have to say there is a 79 ms latency. Would that be part of the problem?

You’d be aggravated too if you knew you were playing at a Diamond level, but the stupid connection is preventing you from getting there. Each time I rerank in this game, I get Gold, because players I get matched up with either all quit out, leaving me all alone to take on 4 enemies, or they just plain suck, dragging me down with them. Today’s 2 games were no different. I was the only player on my team to not go negative, and when I got killed with one melee, even though I had the overshield and the shotgun with the shots not landing, I quit. I don’t need my blood pressure skyrocketing because of some stupid game.
I was at Platinum 6 right before these 2 games, and a few wins away from Diamond. Now, I probably have to win the next 8 games to get there.
Where do you live? Games aren’t just determined before played, and for you having O/S and dieing by one hit I’d say you got beat down from behind, if not, where do you live? Cuz many players outside of the U.S. (And no, it’s not exclusive to foreign players but they get much more occupancies) have had server issues for months.

Yeah I don’t think connection is the only thing here. I’m not so sure anyone can play at a Diamond level or above exclusively using melees and ARs. We can see your game history and how you’re performing relative to the rest of the players in the game.
When you’ve played Gold/Platinum players, you’ve done alright and won many of those games. When you’ve played Diamond/Onyx players, you haven’t done as well and lost many of those games. Your current ranking is pretty accurate. It’s nothing to be upset about. The game has 240 games of Slayer this season worth of data supporting that conclusion.

Lol that’s why you have a bad attitude you’re from the NE of the U.S. you sound like someone I roll with who proclaims “that guy just one shot me with a BR!!!” And other lines to that effect. I rage as well at the game but it’s more towards myself, I get outplayed, make a dumb play, miss alot of my shots, my teammates are chasing like crazy/not really getting map control. I don’t blame the game except for when it lags when the screen freezes for about a second then the game resumes. Or getting spawn trapped or spawns in general on Molten.

I don’t think bad internet can be to blame for every problem in the game.
I’ve seen a lot of things that are still happening since its release.
-inconsistent brightness, some times so bright you can’t see what is in front of you for the whole game.
-kills transferring to other player (enemy or team)
-armour mods some times don’t equip when it says they are but then are when you change it.
-teams with a lower score and/or combat score can earn higher req levels. I don’t know how many games I’ve had where I have done the most among my team and the enemy and they have twice the req level
-enemy teams Spartans not loading, now this seems like lagg but it seems more of a glitch or even a hack. In the theatre they are clearly in an open space, where I’m looking at, and camping. I should of seen them even a bit if it was lag.
Man… I feel this guys struggles. There are games where the connection is perfect. My shots are connecting, the enemies shots are connecting, and its good. Then there are games where I’m shooting the enemy right in their pie hole, yet they automagically teleported behind a wall…
I gave the game another play today. First two matches, got a player leave the game so both games were 3 against 4. Third game I played, I was shooting them and they weren’t dying. I emptied and entire needler at a guy and he just laughed it off. Then I get needled with 6 needles and I blow up. Another game, I blasted the enemy with a railgun smack dab in the middle of his chest. He doesn’t die. This game is infuriating. So, I’m now back down to Platinum 3. If I don’t get to Diamond before the end of this year, I’m giving it up for good. No more Gold Live memberships, no more new Xboxes, no more Halo games. Call me crazy, but I get the feeling that 343 is deliberately preventing me from ranking up. Aim assist works for everybody else except me in almost every game. I had 5 headshots on a guy with the BR and he doesn’t die, but he hits me with 4 magnum rounds and I’m dead. Yeah, I counted the starburst from my reticle every time my shot connected, and I counted 4 shots from him before I died.
And MrSir1981 is right. They magically teleport behind a wall, but I get hit through the walls. I had a game where I was deep behind the cover, and the enemy’s shots are still hitting me!!!
I spoke to a friend of mine who is a game developer, and I asked him if it was possible for a developer to deliberately target specific players/teams to lag/lose. He said it wasn’t impossible. That’s how it feels with my gameplay, because it doesn’t sound too farfetched when I’m consistently losing duels to players who are ranked Gold or even Silver.
