UnderWater Maps

Something new to halo like underwater maps where you are just underwater battling the enemy with underwater gas masks and if they puncture the oxygen tank, an oxygen gauge shows up telling you how much air you have left and need to rise to the surface for some air then get a new oxygen tank.

Vehicles, the underwater maps should also have some underwater vehicles like a Covenant or UNSC submarine where it can carry 1 driver, 2 gunners, and a couple of teammates waiting to be transported to there destination like capture the flag.

Spartans don’t need oxygen masks. Their armor suits already take care of that. Also, weapons don’t really work underwater… the bullets would travel only a few feet at the most. I say, if you want underwater combat you should play CoD Ghosts.

It’s the future, pretty sure they’ll come up with a way

I would like the map level delta halo when we travel under water.

That’s not true, not true at all.

Liquid water isn’t going to do a good job slowing down any thin metal object traveling at over 100 meters per second.

Also, if you fired a plasma based weapon underwater, you’d find that several million gallons would be instantly evaporated with every shot.

How do you figure that?

Aside from limitations of firearms, MJOLNIR armor is too heavy, or rather too dense, to be used effectively in underwater combat.

I don’t mean to nag… but you should consider doing some research.

And millions of gallons? So you mean that, considering the average Olympic swimming pool contains ~14,000 gallons of water, 71 pools evaporate per shot of a plasma weapon?

@OP I love the idea of water maps, but that usually extends to above water battles (i.e. with boats). An underwater skybox as if we fought in a dome would be awesome though!

Also, I think it’s well time that we got a swimming animation instead of dying the moment we touch water.

Lolno. Water would have so much resistance that the bullet would only be effective within a very short range. After that it would slow down and go off in some random direction. C’mon, man… Mythbusters aready did this.

How can you seriously be asking for underwater maps in Halo? There is absolutely no reason to do that. The gameplay would be so completely different that you wouldn’t even be able to call it Halo… but then again Halo 4 can hardly be called a Halo game either.

Im just laughing that Gavin from Rooster Teeth was in this video…

well it’s Gavin’s channel so that would make sense

Uhhh…

I would love some OVERwater maps and some speedboats. Imagine how much Forge World and Forge Island would have been better with boats!

I voted no, but only based on the OP’s description of underwater combat. I am absolutely not opposed to having a map that is underwater, but as far as underwater combat goes, I don’t see it working.

When I think of an underwater map, I imagine something like this. But let’s pretend the glass is indestructible and totally wouldn’t shatter when shot :stuck_out_tongue:

I like pie…underwater.

Not a bad idea for HALO though.

That’s a single variant of MJOLNIR Mark VI GEN-2 armor… I was referring to the MJOLNIR Mark VI armor as a whole. Using Oceanic would more than likely be the only way S-IVs would engage in underwater combat. Besides, there are no underwater missions that I’ve ever heard of Spartans participating in and many of Halo 4’s armor is outlandish (FOTUS) as well as disfunctional (the plethora of helmets with both visors and cameras and those that merely have small visors). Many would agree that they tried a bit too hard at making unique armor permutations.

I approve of this statement.

http://www.halopedia.org/Yucatan_Peninsula and I’m pretty sure Blue Team had Mark V
