A lot of people think halo 5 is trash, but I think it’s really awesome, I like the gameplay, though many other people do not, and the multiplayer is amazing. Req system is somewhat fudged, tho.
Its a pretty common opinion that the Halo 5 multiplayer is very good. However, it is also polarizing so you get a lot of people who are passionately against it.

when you started playing halo 5, makes the difference.if you just started then you will have a different opinion.then some one who been playing from the beginnnig

The multiplayer is great but the campaign had an eneven story and the 600 hours you spent on halo 4: spec ops were concluded in 30 minutes. Plus the fact that Locke took up way too much screen time and the Locke VS Chief cutscene was just inaccurate- it makes Chief look like a average newly-recruited Spartan who can aim and tries to snipe using the AR.
Multiplayer was great and warzone was acceptable as it felt different but like Halo.
However the best modes came to the game late after launch like Infection.
