I’ve been useing the super since day one and one thing has been on my nerves the super units are too friken underpowered especially the scarab. The condor seems almost right just a bit too underpowered.
Also the scarabs movement is jacked up.
Right now, I can’t seem to get any kills with a Scarab. I don’t know if it specifically counters something or greatly attacks everything like the first Halo Wars. So far, I’m doing horrible this Beta, so it could be me, not the game.
I usually use the Scarab too either try to thin the crowd or as a scare tactic.
I haven’t personally used either of the super units yet. In this mode they just don’t seem worth it to me because of how short they last; in deathmatch and the other not-card modes they will probably be great.
They are worth it as a basic shield for your army to move in with
Use the shield with the scarab and have it target specific units you want dead, don’t just let it do whatever. And don’t spawn it at the base, always drop it on top of an objective.

Maybe if you have an extreme excess of energy to waste. The fact that you don’t get any energy refunded when the super units break due to time (as far as I’ve heard from others) compared to standard units dying normally and refunding some energy, really doesn’t make me want to include the super units.
My only problem with the super units is that you can just run a way from them and wait for there time to run out

Then you have the units chase after them, they’re slow but the enemy will still be running, which will allow you to reinforce the area more.

Or they notice the super unit not following and make a stand
I played against a team who were working together, they took point A in the north, let us take B and C, and then proceeded to do nothing but spawn 2x scarab 1x condor to harrass over and over again at point B. Instead of running my allies tried to fight and they lost everything. We lost the game. Scarab is good for pushing a point. You can run but you lose map control…
The scarab is used to clear the area mostly because it is so big and intimidating that it scares the enemy units away and gives you time to fortify an area. The condor is more powerful from what I’ve seen and can dish out more damage, still to rather be used as a scare unit.
