My mind has been offically blown. To see so many people voting against descope is unbelievable. I didn’t think it was possible. What madness has gotten into people’s brains these days! Descope will ALWAYS be better than flinch imo and in the opinion of many others. I like halo 4, but seeing the people it has created in our community almost makes me want to hate it. The people I’m talking about are the same people that say
Keep sprint! Spartans should be able to run!

I do apologize if you are someone who roots for flinch, sprint, or ordnance. There are plenty of reasons one might do so, but I’m referring to the people who do so WITHOUT reason or only do so ONLY because they think its more realistic.
Gameplay comes before logic. ALWAYS! Before Halo 4, people like this didn’t exist. 343 please, I know that you are aware of many of your mistakes. You’ve gotta fix this game and rid our community of these so called fans of Halo. I hate to be so harse, but i can asure you. I started out on these forums calm and level headed. But now my frustration is starting to boil over with what much of our communtiy has become. 343 I’m counting on you to make the next Halo the best so people like this quickly become a diminishing minority.
Awhile ago i heard that 343 pretty much confirmed descope for the next Halo and said they would like to add it to Halo 4 but it would take too much testing and time they didn’t have. Can anyone confirm this? I’ve been looking for a source but like I said it was a little while ago.
At some point I may go look for a source, but I heard it a long time ago so I don’t even know where to start… I’m hoping someone else will know what I’m talking about and link a source for me lol.
Descoping is superior to flinch. It adds a layer of depth and increases the skill gap in a way that putting on Stability and pulling down on the joystick when being shot doesn’t.
But what I’m really interested in knowing, is where the heck did 343i “basically confirm” descope for Halo 5/ Halo Xbox One? And if all that is true about descope and why they can’t add it into Halo 4, then where is the Halo 4 sustain team? If a single random modder can implement descope, then why can’t a 300+ person studio full of professionals with official Halo dev tools do it? Please, don’t take my stern skepticism as cynicism. I’m just genuinely curious.
Because, 343 has repeated themselves over and over about being dead set on keeping flinch in halo 4 and keeping CSR locked to waypoint and it’s apps. Best reason, stubbornness.
I do apologize about not being able to back up my own claim, but i heard this a while ago so i can’t find a source. I can assure you that i am not just talking out my rear. If it turns out that what i heard wasn’t official, I will update the original post.

While I agree with you that Descope is much better than Flinch, I find this thread somewhat silly.

Yeah, i guess your right. I was just taken by surprise by what little logic people put behind their statements these days. Still… Once upon a time our communtiy was better off…
I have faith 343 will do the right thing.
Look at it from 343’s perspective.
Should we listen to veteran players who are committed and understand the game well.?
Or should we listen to new players who’ve only been around since Reach or Halo 4?

So because some people have a different opinion then you it’s mind blowing? What a harsh place you must live in. People can just prefer one over the other.
