It’s no secret if you want to rank you have to play with a complete team. I have a complete team, but usually only around midnight or later. That’s the hardest time of the day/night to play. So it’s been a complete struggle. I finally get halfway through level 6…just a couple more to go to get out of my horrible rank and during the last 30 seconds of my game I get disconnected. So I figure OK, I’ll lose a win, maybe get banned, I can handle getting one extra win from where I was. I get back in, check my stats, and now I’M HALFWAY THROUGH LEVEL 5! Really? It took 5 wins away from me? It couldn’t just ban me? And we were winning…why would I quit? It’s CLEARLY a disconnect. I never quit. I hate quilters, and have complained about them in threads before. Is there a way to have 343 check my games so they can see it wasn’t Intentional? I worked so hard to come from 1 to halfway through 6 playing against onyx players as a gold. Really?
Check your record here on WP. If they are there, do a hard reset on your Xbox.
Didn’t work
All the wins are here on way point. Not on my xbox, where it COUNTS. Rank halfway through 5 still…as if I didn’t play all those games.

Gold is classified as a “horrible rank?” Wow, rough crowd!
Yes, it is.
Ya it sucks.
Im in onyx and I get like 5-10 csr for a win. A lag out takes away 30 csr. So 3-7 wins.
It’s meant to deter quitting.
But that’s nonsense. I had a legit disconnect. Why would you lose wins? The proof is right here on waypoint

You lose wins to deter quitting but apparently the game cannot differentiate between a lag out/server issue and a quit.

I can and does, what it can’t differentiate between is what caused the lag out. Too many people can just pull out their cable, dashboard, turn off wifi to try and beat a ban
No matter how good of an ISP you have, no Internet is perfect 100% of the time. I just tried playing a game thinking maybe it would reset things, but it didnt. And of course, I was paired with literally the WORST randoms in all of Halo…against a pro team apparently. I’m just done. They don’t punish quilters but they punish me. It’s not worth it. Is this game still worth anything at gamestop or will I only get 2 bucks (the games true worth).

I’ve had games where I lag out and get a red screen notification of a server issue.
and lose 30 csr
I’ve never heard of someone lagging out and not being punished.

I WOULD HAVE RATHERED THE BAN!
I wouldn’t call Gold horrible. I still have a positive K/D and usually finish with the most.

That is debatable. It certainly doesn’t stop many Platinum-and-above players from bypassing the ranking system and creating smurf accounts to regularly play opponents with those “horrible ranks.”
You should probably channel your frustration and chime in on the Arena Season Length Feedback discussion, because if they weren’t resetting the ranks so frequently this really wouldn’t be a problem. From my perspective, the seasons should either be significantly lengthened (e.g., three months) or eliminated completely.
