I recently just started playing again and I’ve been reading a lot of the complaints on here but figured I’d put my two cents in.
My first complaint would be when playing a game that is a 3v3 I find that in most cases one team will acquire a 4th person and then your left to play a 3v4. Don’t really understand how this could ever be an issue but it happens to me very often.
Moving along when doing a competitive playlist such a slayer with the “top 200” why would you allow a guest to come into a game like that it really does ruin it. I guess this also comes back to the level system and higher ranked players getting paired up against lower players.
Last thing is the CSR system. If I understand correctly if you are playing with lower level players and “carry them” you get penalized? If the ranking system you provide to me pairs me with players of a lower rank than myself and I happen to get 25 kills a game why should I lose a rank for that? We are talking about a competitive SKILL rank correct? I could be wrong about this but from what I read this is what I got out of it. I apologize if I am incorrect about this.
This is just some stuff that ruins the experience for myself.
My biggest 3v3 problem is when its on complex… complex with 6 players is terrible. Hate it when that happens.
Also just to add, i hate it when you annihilating the other team, they quit 1 by 1 and get replaced with ‘no lifers’ meaning even though you should be awarded for winning, you end up losing, or really struggling to finish your obvious win from earlier in match. Thats not competitive, its just frustrating and totally unfair, im a total casual player, i shouldnt even be paired with ‘no lifers’ in lobby nevermind in the middle of a winning match…

JIP is a very frustrating thing, yes. I always avoid it. But I would consider changing your phrasing from that depressingly condescending stereotype. Just because someone is better at the game than you, doesn’t mean they have “no life”. I don’t call you a ‘trash can’ just because I have a different skill level and mindset in the game.
There are lots of no lifers that play the game, course my definition of a no lifer is someone who goes for the win at any cost. This kind of individual is just deluded and even if they win, the win means nothing. Its sad so many people fall for the trap and end up destroying their own enjoyment unknowingly.
Well not many people now that I think about it if you take into account how far the population has fallen since launch. I have to keep reminding myself that 800 people was at one point 1% of the overall player base. Sad times.

While I agree that a win really doesnt mean much Im lost as to what you mean go for the win at any cost. If your playing the game your goal should be to win the game that you are playing.

The change was that the JIP was made stricter . So some people can join early game they might not join latter though. Although it causes more problems because I sometimes see matches where the team is unbalanced from the start or someone quits sometime during a match , but doesn’t get a player so it becomes unbalanced during the reminder of the match. It also causes players to quit when they start to lose a teammate(s) more often which I’m starting to see.

It was a nice way of saying that a lot of people are using outside measures to gain unfair advantages. Just from what I’ve seen with my match ups approx 3:8 people are using some form of lag switch (wireless software or otherwise).
People don’t even have to blatantly use a switch (blink) to get positive advantages from it. The portion of the software that registers hits has a sweet spot where if your moving with a certain amount of lag the hits won’t register and it will be hardly noticeable to any third party. I’ve seen its more noticeable when using the needler since the needles don’t home even though you started firing with a highlighted red reticule.
That’s how a person can take more than 3 properly aimed body shots followed by a head-shot and still not die. I saw a perfect example of this just last night where this one guy quite literally strolled into a group of 3 people on one of the corners in adrift. Everyone was ready for him, I was host, we easily put 14 shots in the guy and he didn’t register the damage. He killed everyone with BR shots, no grenades when the outcome should have been an almost instant death.

Gotcha, that is a different story (thought you meant stuff in game) but that has been an issue since halo 2. Unfortunately that is just something you have to deal with not in 343’s control.
