None of you would survive the first day of your free trial in EVE Online. Anything goes. You wouldn’t be making demands of anyone, you’d be begging other players to stop blowing up your expensive ships and stealing your hard-earned money. Halo 4 is a playground compared to EVE. Enjoy it, because there’s nothing new on these forums that hasn’t been complained about in the past with previous Halo releases. You think you’ve got it bad, though?
I lol at your dismal failure to comprehend what hard is.

OMG was that a constructive thought on a Halo forum?? I think I’m going to die of shock and then rise from the dead in awe of your greatness, good sir.
Additionally, I’m looking forward to DUST. Shame it won’t be on Xbox, but it can be overlooked by how much it will revolutionise gaming with it’s integration with EVE.
Plus, I’m looking forward to putting a few DUST bunnies out of their misery with my orbital strikes via my new Vindicator.
As a former EVE player, OP, I can attest to the Eve forums, just like Halo forums, just like ANY game developer forums, are filled with the worst members of it’s community, with a few good apples thrown in. Most of the best members are playing the game.
The EVE forums, GD in particular, are indeed intermittently assailed by complaint threads, but most people who actually post there don’t assault you with capslock and tantrums, even when they’re complaining. And there is actual discussion there. This is the worst forum community I’ve ever come across. The only good one I’ve ever encountered is the Forza forums - there are whiners there, too, but most of the time it’s good constructive discussion.

I will agree with you there. For many years, even the years I have not played, I’ve regarded Eve’s community as the best gaming community, and Halo, for years, has been the worst, IMO.
Anyway, I wasn’t making a statement about the community, I was making a comment in regards to the quality of the complaints. So far, for Halo 4, I’ve seen few with merit. Some good arguments to support nerfing the DMR a little, and some good arguments against it also. I think the only real case being made so far is the XP cap - I disagree, but the arguments for lifting it have merit.
Most of the posts here have no merit. Contrast that with a post in EVE GD, and the arguments are delivered with some degree, if not a whole lot of degree, of merit. Sure you get some raging arguments, but even the ragers can deliver an argument with some foundation.
But generally speaking, this is a “point-and-shoot” game with rules to adhere to, tasks to accomplish in any given gametype. In EVE, it’s anything goes - there are no rules. When you undock, you’re fair game, anywhere, anytime.
Most of the people whining about balance in Halo wouldn’t like that much, I think. But more than that, they wouldn’t be able to handle it.

I just hope more developers start using this, and experimenting more often. I’d love to be able to interact with gamers native to alternate platforms fo play.

This thread is pretty much a rant against all threads that complain about Halo 4 weaponry. OP has presented a great observation. I agree, players need to chill out and enjoy the game. Yeah, there could be a few tweaks for rebalancing, but the community should not have to create numerous repetitive weapon rebalance threads that only talk about the same thing. I really dont see or feel anything major wrong with the game…

I don’t know what EVE is, but you’ve definitely got the right idea.

Successful rant is successful
Also, there are a few things that need tweaking. Spartan Ops lag, challenge bugs, and a few other things. But nothing that warrants the crass, childish tantrums getting thrown around on these forums.
