Unarmed combat

Hello fellow Spartans, I have come to ask what people think of Un-armed combat being introduced into halo?

I shall explain how it would work.

ever had that moment that you’re gunning down a bunch of Spartans or mobs, and the suddenly you realise that you didn’t pack your infinite ammo mod with you? Now you’re stuck moving around with an empty rocket launcher in one hand and a juiced out incineration cannon in the other?

Well this is where Un-armed combat comes into play, you could decide to drop your weapons and resort to using your fist, this would give you a slight movement speed increase (due to not having the extra weight) although i do not think instant kill would make sense with this so maybe 2 punch kill? My point is I feel that advanced soldiers wouldn’t be afraid of hurting their knuckle when they have no other weapons. Obviously when you pick up another weapon you return to normal again.

I have roughly tried to give my idea out in as short time as possible, what do you all think of this?

Interesting concept.

If you lose weapons I’d be ok.
Maybe you meele faster, still 2 hit kill.

But would it be a viable fighting method?
Would it become over used?

I like it. But a good idea is that you can only use it if you are out of everything including grenades. Makes sense on a lore aspect. But lore should never be a justification for gameplay just saying.

I very rarely run out of all of my ammo, but when I do, I resort to punching. So this is a good idea, despite how rarely running out of ammo happens

The sprint double melee was the bane of existence in reach and H4 and Spartan charge is the bane of existence in H5
How would this be different?

No thank you :). Maybe in a spin-off but not in any numbered halo.

Sounds like Halo 6 talk…I could see if u had no ammo in either weapon them disappearing and you put up your dukes. I’m not sure about any kind of advantage or power up for this but a spartan throwing a 2 piece combo would be gnarley.
