Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me out with a few things that I might have missed. As of now I can find no known explanation for any of these design choices.
- Why can we no longer customize our emblem fully? - If Breakout has it’s own playlist, why is it showing up in others? - Will we ever get a BTB map that is NOT forge? - If spartans have a HUD link with their gun, why do we need to look down the scope of some but not others? - 4 out of 15 missions as Chief? Reasoning?I’ve been away from the forums for a while now and I couldn’t find any answers to these questions and would greatly appreciate if someone could fill me in!

1.) I assume you mean color scheme and art that goes on the side. I’m not complaining really with the 166 or so emblems they gave us.
2.) I actually agree with you here although I love breakout and rarely see it in Arena.

4.) Maybe only some guns are HUD compatible? Lol
5.) 343 took Halo on. It is up to the writers the way the story goes. This is their game. If you created a game (basically your child) would you want a bunch of preadolescent kids telling you how the story should be. Enjoy it and be glad Halo 5 exists (:

- That is senseless from a fiction standpoint IMO.
- I would call most Halo fans “preadolescent”. Most of us were fans since H1 or H2 so we no longer live at home etc. They took on Halo KNOWING it was the communities, not theirs. They state that multiple times. All I’m saying is that the real Halo fans were misled. Call Halo 5 Halo Locke if you want to make that game…

Yea, i agree with you on colors combinations (wish I could make my own combo)
No you dont look into a scope lol, your visor literally depicts an image of the scope. There is no external animation for ADS (shoulder shrug or head movement) The link just creates an image on the spartans visor. Much like it does with scope-less weapons (hence the holographic images appearing around scopeless guns)
Alot of people want to play as him, but when you look at it locke and chief play exactly the same, I sometimes forgot I was playing as locke.

Sure, the game belongs to the community… Whatever that means. But it’s not up to the community to drive which direction the lore goes in. Halo 5 was indeed a part of the Halo series. It sucks if you don’t like it, but 343 does and they obviously have large plans for the future.

I enjoy the game. Paid for it. Still play. I interact on their forums. These issues were simply things that I thought they should not have over looked. The game play seems like it took a logical progression in terms of movement and abilities but like I said, they over looked some easy ones. Let’s just hope Halo 6 let’s us see 343s new expansive universe through the eyes of who we are ALL invested in.

Not quite, for achievement pack rats like myself locke is easier to work with because he can ping intel with the artemis device which chief doesnt have. I personally like the change in pace where master chief seems like this semi mythical figure as you chase him, and an alternate viewpoint to the usual renegade going rogue with a mission to do.
I think these are questions that EVERYONE wants answered. Hahaha.
The truth is, no one can answer these accurately. You’re just going to get opinions and speculation.
There are actually only 3 missions as chief… lol
