Do you guys think we’re getting another game mode at launch we haven’t seen yet? I love everything we’ve seen multiplayer wise but I can’t help but wonder if there’s still a major game mode we haven’t seen. First we had firefight, then Spartan Ops, then Warzone. It seems like the series has carved out a very specific section for PvE and I’m just curious what you all think it might be. Are we getting an updated warzone/firefight mode or is Spartan Academy taking that PvE spot?
With the changes to BTB I’d say they’re pushing focus onto that as their big mode, no warzone. It’s likely we’ll get firefight just because that’s a community favorite, if not a launch then eventually we’ll have it. The Spartan Academy seems to be more of a PvE mode since it’s bots but I wouldn’t call it a warzone replacement simply because it’s more of a training mode to acclimate players to the actual multiplayer experience.
I’d imagine that the Spartan Academy is probably taking that spot.
I have the unpopular opinion that I don’t really like Firefight all that much. Maybe because I played so much of it getting to 152 haha.
I think the game is putting a big emphasis on PvP to be honest. Being free to play really allows them to grow the game a lot.
I think that any other PvE mode would probably be in the paid version of the game and therefore already cutting out some of your player base.
We’ll see I suppose but I don’t think we’ll have much more PvE content…at least at launch,
I think its probably quite likely there will be a firefight like gamemode that we havent seen yet, just like there definitely will be a forge mode which they havent showed yet
Since the game is now a ‘live service’ game…I think it’s only a matter of time before they update the game to add some kind of PvPvE mode like Warzone and modes like Firefight and Forge.
I’d love to see Warzone come back but I was never a fan of the Rec Card system.
I dunno if we’ll get something akin on day one, but with bots and an F2P MP, post launch the possibilities are infinite (pun intended)

I wouldnt put it past them to introduce a mashup of Warzone Firefight and the Reach/ODST style Firefight, they know its a beloved gametype for people who maybe arent always interested in classic halo multiplayer.
But if its going to be firefight having more than 4 people would be nice. It was refreshing having a full team all working together against AI that was actually somewhat difficult individually.

Maybe firefight will be paid dlc?
Same with forge?
60$ for the game and microtransactions?
But multiplayer pvp will still be free

Highly possible that’s the last thing they would polish before launch and I wouldn’t mind if they released it a few months later.
