Summary
You’re right, they shouldn’t need to crunch. The studio should be shut down and the halo franchise should be handed over to another developer. 343 is completely incompetent as they have proved time and time again with every one of their releases. They are killing halo and if this one dies, after all of their hype and talk about how they learnt from their mistakes with 4 and 5, then they are going to lose a lot of trust and I think the whole franchise will just slowly disintegrate from there.
They are useless honestly and have no idea what they are doing as a team. Maybe individually they are good and maybe they would do well if they all left 343 and went to other dev companies, but as a whole they are a useless team.

Imagine how easy it would be to put 343 and halo out of business entirely: just release an arena dhooter with longer killtimes. Thats probably the only reason why people still play halo. Halos legacy is diwn the toilet for years by 343 just beeing a bad developer in almost every aspect.
And this “heres your beta attached to a store, we are off for holidays sckers” is just the latest prove of it.
It’s such a shame what happend to a brand so many people used to love.

I agree. I just reached 100 on the season pass and there’s just absolutely no reason to play now. The customization is so trashy. You should be able to customize every little thing on your Spartans. Campaign was stupid short and really hope there is dlc for it. The lack of communication is ridiculous. Btb is a complete mess and worked just fine at launch. No real Christmas or new year’s event other than stupid cosmetics. The pricing for garbage in the store is laughable. The season passes are bloated with unwanted items. They should be strictly armor, weapons, xp.

This covers many points. “Entire” game is subjective. There are point people make that overlap and other “fixes” are simply people who would do different.
Take the time to provide a reasonable argument. It helps with your credibility just a tad bit rather than -Yoink!- yourself because I don’t share the same deluded view as you.
And we still have till when May for the second season.
I just hope if they have Co Op campaign ready before that they don’t hold it off to make itbseasonn2 content .

No no, that’s when they believe the patch will drop, 343’s been back in office for near a week or so. Yeah, I kind of hope they make even armor pieces cross compatible, but with everything being attached to certain cores or whatever, it’s a bit draining to look at 3 different presets of armor. My choices kind of feel limited and the fact all of it is only currently earnable through hours of grinding a day in PvP, is draining. I can only take so much PvP.

They need a supporting studio. If they did, there wouldn’t have been any holiday break, SOMEONE would’ve been working on it. In fact, perhaps we’d even be close to getting new modes and the big bugs would be gone. But of course, -Yoink!- wouldn’t want to share their $$$

Idk what all 343 is in charge of, what decisions they can make, I have 0 knowledge of how any of that works so no clue who’s at the reigns and who’s calling the shots.

Yep. They really should have delayed this dumpster fire another year. Its astounding how willing people are to put up with -Yoink!-, half baked games instead of wanting a product that actually works on launch, without predatory microtransactions. I blame -Yoink!-, 343i and the sect that religiously shills for them equally for this garbage.

for a moment I thought I traveled back to 2018, and was in the Bethesda forums about Fallout 76. The same arguments said there, about a live service game being thrown into the gamer market without actual completion or functionality.
(and yet, the Store/Shop sure works fine with those overpriced gimmick cosmetics!)

I hope they drop some other PVE mode outside of C OP soon. PVP is fun but lie for maybe 2 hours after you max out the Battlepass. I still remember aging so much firefight even if I wasn’t trying to unlock something… The sheer fun of Gruntpocalypse was amazing.

I’m not sure who to really complain to? The ACCC have been receiving complaints for years and don’t appear to have done anything about it.
I think the biggest problem is where we live. MP is simply unplayable. When our X-Box is just sitting with no game in it and my Hubby does a connection test, the latency is 180. If this then connects to an overseas server for a MP game, does it become worse? Unfortunately, we are not 100% clued in on these matters. I have seen in other threads about ‘PING’. From the extremely limited knowledge we have about these matters, I would say our ‘PING’ is massive. Hubby looked up on the web about optimal latency on the X-Box. What he found was a latency of 40 to 80 is best for online games. Our’s sits at 180 doing nothing. Just as an example, when we put the Infinite disc in, the Battlepass in the top corner regularly takes over 3 minutes to appear, it just sits there with a spinning wheel. One time, Hubby went and made a coffee, sat back down and it still hadn’t loaded.

it must be an inside joke in the gaming industry to release broken games in November/December knowing that people will buy them as gifts for Christmas and the developers don’t have to fix them in any prompt manner as they can just say “hey it’s the holidays”, Halo/343 isn’t the only culprit, the last 3 games i bought in 2021 have inexhaustible lists of faults.
