Unacceptable level of service for a live subscription game

Its clearly not Optimized. First two levels were solid, suddenly tanked from level 3 onwards. 1% low even for RTX 2080ti is just 45-55 fps on 1080p Ultra preset. This is a Joke. Its a instant refund for me. Going back to MCC.

I think the lack of maps and progression is a big problem , do what cod does and have operator challenges when u get a specific level to unlock new skins for operator/armour core

Skins for weapon challenges you do for specific weapons then when you unlock all skins for all guns have a moving camo

And if you unlock and complete all challenges for armour cores (make this a big grind) get the full master chief armour, but like I said dont make this easy make this so that when you see somebody wearing it you know they have earned it and gone through hell and back to complete the challenges to earn it

I personally like 3 lane maps , I think call of duty master this , obviously this is halo and its differant , but I think 3 lane maps play the best for any fps I think the wacky maps should be btb

My main thing is like… how can you call it a labor of love and then abandon it for two weeks almost immediately after launch?

Maybe I’m too passionate about the work I do, but when there’s an urgent problem that needs to be addressed, me and my team are willing to make sacrifices to our personal life to rectify the situation in a timely manner.

Don’t plan for Holiday releases if it’s too inconvenient for you to care about your project.

It’s not just Halo, even games like BAttlefeild are pretty bare bones. There’s only like 20 guns, I honestly think the devs are at the point where they lack creativity in the gaming industry, they have run out of ideas of how to make a great game and maintain population.

So now they just release a game as Bare bones as they can and slowly put in the stuff we already had in previous games as a disguise for content updates.

That’s what Halo is doing, BAttlefeild threw everything but 3 modes into Portal which is pointless to use now after the update.

I honestly think COD is the only franchise that just gives you all the basics at launch for the most part.

Im a bit worried for gaming, These devs are trying to copy the success of Fortnites monetization, but aren’t even offering the same basic mix and match ability that offers you.

But yea I’m seeing the trend of Live service games launch g half baked and bars ones.

Live service is just code for it’s not finished. It let’s get it out and finish it and all the stuff we add will just be called DLC and content

Let’s be honest, they won’t do this because a large chunk of their monetization revolves around selling us Armor. They made a large customization system.

And said it will offer so much content. And are banking on players loving those customizations so much they will pay an Arma ND a leg to get a Recon helmet with a shiney coating that’s locked specifically to that core so they can re sell you that same coating for another core that’s going to sell you a separate attachment that’s locked to that core so they can go against and really you that same attachment for the previous core.

Kinda starting to see what they are getting at with locking items strictly to each core.

No but that’s what I’m saying do what cod does they have progression with weapons and skins but they still sell loads in the store, no progression is just stupid I cant even stress , look at all the players that grinded vangaurd to get the atomic (moving dynamic) camo , halo needs something similar asap because once I’ve done my battle pass that’s it theirs absolutely nothing to grind for or work towards , I have to wait till a Tuesday to grind a banner :sob:

They’ve been on vacation since November 15th? Wow. That’s a hot take there, buddy.

I cant stress enough, you can be generous with grindable content and bring the best of the best stuff to the store and make a killing , what’s the point of having a lime green car for 500 credits when you can make that a challenge for getting 50 splatter kills ect and have a dynamic moving camo in the store ? Makes no sence the stuff in the store this week it’s all stuff that should be grindable , only things I’ve see worthy of store and not grinding is the iron man armour coating and cat ears

Let’s be honest 343 lacked creativity. They have showed they could not accomplish what your talking about mainly because that would have taken a huge chunk of their content they had planned for in store purchases for the next 10 years.

Think about it… Possibly for the next 4 yes they are going to be selling us Just Reach core armor peices.

They messed up by making their entire customization options on store only, with maybe a handful in free events.

And they did it in a scummy way of Restricting the customization as much as possible to maximize repeating the same.items to sell you.

For example Halo 5 had 60 default colors. 343 gave us 10 of those colors in Infinite and they are reselling us the other 50.

Scarlet wake was sold in one bundle while scarlet skies being the same.red was sold in a separate bundle. They acheived this by locking that same.red to one core.

This was their by design model. They didn’t intend for players to unlock a reach style attachment and put it on their MK 7. They intended on taking taking the data of what reach stuff gets worn the most and re undle it as a MK7 version to resell it to players, so they essentially are making you pay for the same.item.twice if you desire it.

On their end it’s a s.art model but for us it’s just a cash grab with little creativity behind it.

Microsoft made sure to force a poor release. That has been half the problem these days with games releasing like s**t. Publishers forcing games to be put out when they aren’t ready.

I mad too, and I as much as I love complaining and almost dropped the game just remember that 343 has spent a lot of time on holiday break. Like for as long as the game has been out half that time they’ve been on vacation. I assume tomorrow they’re gonna make some real progress in the coming weeks.

You’re literally complaining about not getting constant updates…when we literally just got through Christmas break? Do you expect them to slave away while everyone else enjoys their holidays just to please you? Be a little more realistic.

Iirc, they even did a quick update before going on break, so yes, I will give you the ‘it’s the holidays’ explanation because it’s the holidays. Quit being a spoiled child, they’ll be dropping another update on the 15th from what I’ve been hearing.

Any source on that or is it purely rumors?

No legitimate sources I’m afraid, hence why I said ‘from what I’ve been hearing’. Almost every post I’ve clicked on talking about more updates always has someone mention the 15th.

I want to say they saw it in the previous Dev Blog post or perhaps someone from 343i on Twitter mentioned something. I can’t say, I didn’t read the last Blog post and I don’t venture onto Twitter because it’s more of a wasteland than Borderlands.

TF2 didn’t get better in a day ya know… it took days, weeks. a year for the first ‘major’ update. the devs probs just started working. so give it a month at least

I haven’t “paid” anything for the game (well, I’m subscribed to Game Pass), so I’m not sure what I’m entitled to

Bare bones for something free sounds reasonable to me…

I mean what do you want, this has been every single triple A multiplayer for the past like 5 years. And the game came out a month ago, a very busy month in most peoples personal life. Just being realistic.

But just like every other triple A multiplayer in recent time, it’ll get better with time

Just no. Holiday is not a good excuse. I see this excuse often. They choose to release a game that was not ready and decided to use the holiday as an excuse to hope the problem goes away. If they had delayed the game further then they would have to act on the issues but it feels like the timing of the release was done on purpose so they can hope that people would accept the predatory systems.

Unacceptable level of impatience by a vocal minority of an entitled fanbase that ignores the fact the entire studio was out of the office on holiday until this week.

Having lived through two waves of actually pathetic Destiny starts and the snail’s pace progression towards playable value those games eventually painstakingly slowly achieved, I’m actually quite happy with the core experience the multiplayer in Halo Infinite provides.

It’s got some major and minor issues, bugs, clearly missing quality of life additions that shouldn’t be absent in a modern AAA competitive FPS. It is getting a tad stale, needs some playable variety, but it is a fun experience when it does work.

But the biggest thing to remember is that the actual launch of the title (and beta for that matter) coincided with three holidays in a very short period of time compared to most years. 343 has stated very clearly that it’s ‘nose to grindstone’ when the holidays are over, so this “burying your head in the sand” approach by suggesting things are unacceptable is Michael Jefferson levels of “ignorant”.
