It’s actually not that weird at all. It’s just most don’t understand it because they work themselves on these days and have never experienced what it’s like to work at a place that has that kind of value.
Agreed. Imagine walking into a car dealership and them Selling you a car without the wheels.
I just cant think of too many examples off the top of my head where companies do that. I guess 343 can since they are making all their money passively through microtransactions. Theyre business isnt fully shut down for the month like most would be if all employees left. But that business strategy is backfiring on them because alot of people think they should be fixing things and adding content
Most people have been back at work a week ago! Some didn’t stop working!
Yes it would have made more sense for 343 to do that. And they would have if they could have. Not a China mans chance in hell that Microsoft would have let them delay it another year. They wanted the game out in 2019!
I don’t know about you guys but most of the games I see released in the Winter Holidays usually always end up needing extra work or get pushed back into the next year.
Why would you release a game that depends on Live Service attention during the Holidays, only to abandon “your baby” moments after conception for several weeks.
Maybe they should have pushed back the entire Halo Infinite release?
If I’m understanding the context correctly I thank you for your service as a veteran, but I don’t wholly believe that the comparison made here is equal. While I don’t disagree with the skeleton crew idea, it may not be their place to make certain adjustments to the game while the bulk of the crew is on leave. That however is all just guessing and there’s little to no facts stating what this hypothetical skeleton is or is not capable of doing.
There is also no evidence of this procrastination people keep talking about that I have seen. Feel free to provide some context.
That’s blatantly false.
There are plenty of threads on this forum that prove this.
It was your optional choice to pay for cosmetics and the campaign.
Sorry if you don’t feel like it’s worth your money. But still, you aren’t any more or less entitled to throw aside someone’s humanity because your gaming experience isn’t what you expected.
So you’re free to sit down with me.
The rest of the nonsense you’re spewing has no relevance whatsoever to how you think you’re supposed to be treated because you work just like everyone else and have played the game since the franchise was new.
Ignorant at best.
I don’t think it’s acceptable to leave a game in this state period: live service or not. I’m not completely unsatisfied though. I finally get to use the Mark V [B] armor set again and there’s a working training mode to help players work on their skills.
When I look at multiplayer, I think of a game that isn’t that far off from being great. It’s just unfinished. Just look at the weapon sandbox. Rather than trying to pull a fast one on us, I think they got too ambitious and didn’t expect certain areas to take as long as they initially did.
I’m not saying this as a fact but as an observation. Rather, I’m saying this andbox is arguably one of multiplayer strongest points. Probably required a lot of time and discussion to get it to the state it is now. Perhaps the same could be said about the other strong points of multiplayer.
The price of a few pros created many cons.
Breath my dude. It’s not perfect no but it’s nowhere near as bad as ya’ll are trying to make it out to be. 95% of the time the game works without issue (minus btb currently)
They’ve been crunching for six years, give them a couple weeks, damn.
More contractors going in and out like a revolving door, Jason Schrier article goes into further details.

The Curse of the Live Service game
The release date of Halo Infinite was somehow unfortunate. It can be risky when you release an AAA title a few weeks before christmas holidays.
The MP has a lot of issues, thats a fact. But the devs have also their families and deserve christmas holidays like every other person.
Im confident that we get some official information in the next 10 days. I hope so.
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head OP. People are so neck deep in nostalgia they either can’t see or don’t want to see the numerous glaring issues with Infinite, namely the fact that almost 2 full months after launch it STILL has less content than Halo 5 day 1, keeping in mind Halo 5 had Forge added by the middle of december.
Currently there’s no crossplay disable option, and it gets one step worse knowing my Xbox privacy settings isn’t being respected…
BTB is broken and I’m out of challenge swaps…
I need to play stronghold but keep getting oddball…
Goes to show you that devs can’t make video games without actually knowing how to play video games.
343 sold out to pc streamers. Clown show
The game just came out like three months ago and within those three months 343 has taken a few weeks of breaktime, well-deserved. The main reason you haven’t seen any major updates aside from new modes being added and a couple quick patches is because they haven’t had time to implement anything, simple as that.
Just be patient. I think alot of people are comparing games that just came out with games that are already a few years old and y’all forget what it’s like to play a live-service game that just released. Many updates coming in the next few weeks and months here mate
That’s cool. 343 isn’t one of those companies. Let them ahve their break. Not sure why people expected massive updates during the holidays and not after
