I am having a really annoying issue, i want to use forge, but my xbox live expired earlier this month, and when i tried to access forge, the option was greyed out, told me i need xbox live to access forge, which is BS, i dont want to have to pay an extra 24-60$ just to access another part of the game, such as forge which we should not have to require xbox live gold just to use.
Agree this require online thing in games needs to stop. It’s like if we don’t have xbox live we don’t own the game even thow we own the game.
Well, it’s not like you’d be able to share your map or play with anyone on it.

right, it appears that we require xbox live gold just to access 70% of the game, and are limited to only campaign, which is a big ripoff, i dont want to pay 80-120$ just to play the whole game (xbox live gold+halo 5)

no, thats not the issue, why would i have to pay an additional 20-60$ just to access a part of the game that used to be free for all players, even players without xbox live gold, or xbox live at all, having to pay 20-60$ just to be able to use forge or explore new maps in custom games or use theater mode, which is a waste of money, i do need to renew my xbox live, but having to pay to play forge/custom games/theater is just plain stupid, like they are ripping tons of people off, and only giving 10-20$ worth of the game (campaign)

well, i know that, but they are taking away a big chunk of the game, unless you fork over money just to play a majority of the game, some people just want to use forge and custom games to mess around and to have fun right? well, 343i messed up when they made it a requirement to have xbl gold just to access these modes which did not require xbl gold in the past

Forge has always required an xbox live gold account in Halo 5. This “feature” was also advertised, it may be expensive and crappy to you, but its no surprise
Stop defending 343 really. It’s dumb and anyone can see it. They are always having server issues or if my Xbox live expired or any reason ever you don’t have online I shouldn’t need it to do forge or test out my map I map in customes it’s just dumb. If your not connected to Internet then everything goes away besides campaign and that dumb.
God I hate what this generation is coming to were everything is always online. There is no privacy in life anymore and everything u watch on tv is tweet this or hashtag that. It’s getting out of control.

no, it is a ripoff, what once was a free gamemode, not needing any paid memberships such as xbl gold, just to even access or play with, you dont get the point do you?
forge was not something we would need to pay for in order to access, and us needing xbox live gold just to access forge just to have fun, is a total ripoff, why buy the game if you cant even access anything besides the campaign, it is unfair, you would need to spend an additional 20-60$ just to be able to access the rest of the game
