Unable to 'TURN IN' Custom Challenges

I have the android waypoint app on my phone and I use this site to setup and accept my custom challenges. However, once I’ve completed my challenges (yes I confirmed I completed them) well once I complete them I click on the challenge to turn them in but the “TURN IN” button is grayed out and I’m unable to click on it to turn them in. And with the android app, I only have a forfeit button.

I’ve tried signing in and out on the website and mobile app(Ive even uninstalled it). I’ve also waited 30 minutes to a hour just to see if it is delayed. But it shows that I meet the challenge. I’ve tried using firefox and internet explorer. None have worked. So every time I want to turn a custom challenge in I have to leave Reach and go to Waypoints on my Xbox…which is extremely annoying. And all the while my friends I’m doing the custom challenges with have no problem turning theirs in.

If anyone has a clue to what I’m doing wrong then please help!

Update: Sooooooo…I’m the only person having this problem?!? Awesome. Ya I even tried my work computer and a friends…none work. So its gotta be my gamertag or something. But I’ve had the same one for years…

1.) Have you turned in custom challenges before?
2.) Which browser are you using?
2a.) Does your browser have a script blocker running like Firefox’s NoScript?

I’ve never been able to turn in challenges on the website or my android app. I’ve always had to go into waypoint on my xbox. Please note my custom refresh and update almost right after I’ve completed them.

I’ve used the following:

Internet Explorer and Firefox on a XP, Vista, and Windows 7. I’ve tried on four different computers. I’ve even tried on my browser on my droidx. None have worked. Yet my friends have no problem at all using the website using the same configurations I tested.

As for Firefox, no its not running NoScript.

So I’m stumped and frustrated. I only hopeyou someone sees this and will know what to do.

I have the same issue, the only work around that I’ve found is by using Halo Waypoint on the Xbox. Though a bit tedious, it beats having to wait however many hours are left on the challenge.

I have been experiencing this issue ever since the custom challenges were released in which I had a service error issue after that which was fixed recently.
Perhaps this has something to do with the service error issue that was supposedly fixed but I guess not completely.
I like the others have stated can’t turn-in completed challenges via this website so I have to turn them in on the Halo Waypoint App on the xbox 360.
So can a mod or bs angel give us the status on this issue and if they are aware of this problem or are working to fix it.

can you guys please list a couple of specific challenges that this happened with (challenge details)? also, please specify the gamertag you used to create the challenge.

Not a Mod or BS Angel, but I took a look at it and wanted to request a special ‘test’ if folks with the problem could help me check something. No obligation of course… I am just trying to get a feel for the problem.

So, if you can’t get Custom Challenge Turn In to work, can you try the following:
Create a Custom Challenge with the parameters:
Name: (anything you want)0
Type: Campaign
Goal: Medals
Target: 1
Time Limit: 3

None of the other values need to be set. Create the challenge. Then create a second challenge using the values:
Create a Custom Challenge with the parameters:
Name: (anything you want)0
Type: Campaign
Goal: Kills
Target: 1
Time Limit: 3

Now load up whichever land based, Reach campaign is your favorite and unleash on the enemy. Be sure that Scoring is on, so that it records your campaign values! Then, after you have killed a dozen or so bad guys, and racked up a half dozen headshot medals, quit and save out of the campaign game. Wait a couple minutes for the servers to grab your info, and then check the challenges on the Web and on the phone.

Try to turn in one challenge in each location as long as they are showing as completed. Because we set the value low, it should show a value greater than 1/1 ( 19/1 frex) and the progress bar should be filled solidly.

If one of the platforms isn’t work, or you aren’t showing completed challenges, take notes and provide that info!

Again, I am just taking a look and trying to narrow down the possible issues, and just want to try the most simple, basic test possible to see if we can get a working challenge!

I and others are having an issue of our challeneges not being awarded, but simply being listed as “completed”. This seems to have originated sometime last night along with what seems to be random probems from others as well.

Maybe it’s all related.

Well I pmed bs angel and she said she sent a few emails and will get an update on the situation soon.

It seems a lot of people are getting this bug so its not an isolated occurence. I am sure that 343 will get it fixed as soon as possible.

That’s good, thanks. I keep checking here to see if there’s been any change or any news on a fix. I know bs angel and the rest of the 343 crowd are busy (and it’s a weekend), but I at least appreciate that they do pay attention to the forum and its users.

Good enough for me. I know they’ll fix it soon, and as long as I get the credits for the challenges that were completed I really dont care :slight_smile:

Lets hope they fix it this week and award the credits already done in challenges, mine are completed but still not awarded as “1st place yet” which is 34786 credits, the 6th and 8th of january.

I’m having the same problem, and I would really appreciate an update or a fix to this.

I have a question for those of you who are experiencing this issue -
