Unable to start game

So here is the odd issue I am having and have found nothing on the forums, I started the game this morning to play a few rounds before yapyap and my game won’t get past the “press any key” page. It keeps saying the “active profile has changed returning to start screen” keeping me from doing anything. I only have one profile on this PC and have never had an issue like this before. I don’t own any Microsoft consoles so that’s not it. It is very odd. It just started this morning.

Steps I have taken to self-resolve:

Rebooted.
Logged in and out of the pc.
Cycling the windows firewall.
Running malwarebytes scan for possible interference from rouge programs (system as expected is 100% clean.)
Disabling all non-essential programs and starting again.

None of this has worked. Given how slow it is to download from the microsoft store I’d rather not have to re-download the whole game again.

Standard sata 3 1tb 7200rpm disc based hd,

Again any ideas on a fix?

Same here.

This is an issue that has been around since February 2017 but for some f-ing reason 343 thinks they don’t have to do a thing to fix the problems.

It goes back to Halo MCC. They put out what could be the buggiest worst running game ever created and didn’t do one major fix to it. Halo Wars 2 has the same problem.

An absolute crying shame.

Personally the 343 Halo games are turning into a bad girlfriend. You really really want to go out with them but they keep burning you left and right. Halo looks good but there is only so much BS you can take. I sense a dumping coming.
