Unable to start campaign for any installed game.

To start I’m subscribed to Gamepass through 2020. I was also an Insider tester. That Insider install has been deleted. Since the recent update I’ve been unable to launch any of the 5 games in the MCC. When I try to start a campaign it says the content is not installed. I then go to the manage screen and it clearly says all of the campaigns are installed. The install size on my HDD was well over 75GB. I thought maybe it was an odd bug with external storage so I transferred the entire install to internal. Same issue. I then performed a factory reset keeping my games and apps. Same issue. Finally I bit the bullet and deleted the entire install (I have a 15Meg DSL connection so this sucked). I started with only downloading the Halo CE campaign data. Same issue. What’s odd is that it keeps applying a small ODST update even thought I’m not trying to install that game. That ODST update is between 10-15MB. This is getting very frustrating as the install worked fine before the update.

The ‘update’ was actually the whole game. I can only suggest you to disinstall and reinstall the whole collection, without using the intelligent delivery. I know it will be long with a 15mb per sec, but it should work.

Thanks for the reply and I finally got it to work yesterday. I totally deleted it once again, including the 10MB ODST file. I then went to the Gamepass landing page (which I shouldn’t need to since I already owned the game and have played it before the update and it’s addition to Gamepass) and initiated the install from there. For some reason my original install was unable to work correctly with the update applied no matter what combination I used. Is this a bug? Unknown but it finally worked when I restarted the entire process from the Gamepass area.

I have seen this reported for several games. Game Pass seems to break game licenses for owned games.
