For two weeks now, I’ve been unable to play Halo 5 online. Whether it be social, ranked, warzone or even forge mode, there’s a problem. For social, ranked and warzone, I get a “Could not find a server that was suitable for all members of your fireteam” message under the description of each playlist, while there’s no one but me on my fireteam. When I try forge mode, I get the following message : “Attention : Error retrieving data center connection quality information. Please try again later”.
I’ve been reading topics discussing similar issues and found mixed reactions among those who’ve encountered the problem. I’ve hard-reset my Xbox, disconnected the power, reset my internet box, checked that my reputation was OK, uninstalled the game, etc. I’ve tried every solution I’ve read about on forums, most of which worked for other people.
It’s worth mentioning that I have no problems playing other games online on this same Xbox and that I have a stable 100mb connection… Only potentially noteworthy elements I can think of is that I recently moved in, if that can have anything to do with it. Also, I’m living in France, if you guys know of any particular network issues over here or in Europe in general…
To run the Multiplayer Connection Test on your console, follow these steps:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. - Select Settings. - Select All Settings. - Select Network. - Select Network settings. Any known outages will appear in the middle of the screen. - On the right side of the Network settings screen, select Test multiplayer connection. If the multiplayer connection test is not successful, the Multiplayer Connection Troubleshooter will try to identify the problem.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, to no effect. When I check he connection, it says something along the lines of “Your connection is good but there’s a problem on our side”…
Sounds like you’ve done about everything. The only other thing I can think of, does your NAT say open under settings/network? Have you tried calling xbox support? Of course they’ll probably tell you to come to this forum. I don’t know if maybe port forwarding on your router would help or not.
Yep, also checked the NAT… And I read that Xbox support redirects here when all the above has failed… Thanks for answering though, I’ll come back and update this if I find a way to fix it.
