I’ve been receiving the unable to match error when searching alone or it has taken some time to find a game around 1am EST. I understand the recent mmr changes that help games become more fair by not allowing large teams to find matches. But to not to be able to find a match when solo is concerning. I also understand that the population is low but it does not seem dead.
I’m assuming I wasn’t able to find a match due to mmr since I saw others in matches. This concerns me since I am maybe a slightly above average player. I ask that games be easier to find if an individual is searching solo. I understand the restrictions for teams searching but if I’m solo that means I just want to find a match. It was late at night but there are times where that’s the only time I can play. This could have been just bad luck during this time since I did end up finding a game after 15 min but that’s a long time.
My request is for solo search to be less restricted to enable players to find matches and find them quickly. If not, I would appreciate the reason why.

Are you searching on Expanded? If you’re having trouble finding matches, that’s the search preference to go with. You should be able to find matches then, although it might still take a bit of time depending on time of day. Also, make sure your NAT is open.
1am EST shouldn’t be a particularly dead time, so it’s probably due to one of the issues tuhin mentioned. If you were having trouble finding a match at 7am EST, then it would probably be playlist population-related.
Following up on this since I hadn’t had any troubles since. My Nat type was open and searched on expanded that day. Recently have been having the same problem, tried playing in a two man (with trackster) and was unable to find a match, then searched solo and noticed he was able to find a match but I was not. Now today I received two back to back unable to match messages in a row. I was able to play firefight but is regular warzone so dead that I’m unable to get a game? I enjoy the Playlist but I don’t have all day to wait, some days I can only get on for a few but I couldn’t even play a game today which is unfortunate.
I apologize for the rant but it is frustrating. Is there anything other than open nat type and searching on expanded? Is it just low population? Im assuming it can’t be skill based restriction since I’m solo. Maybe if I get on earlier like I usually do I won’t have the issues but recently have only been able to get on at this time.
Also, this happened around the same time at 1am est again.
