Unable to launh game successfully

I loaded up Halo 3 windows store version and it took forever to load past the splash screen at first then once it finally did I was unable to find a match for 5 minutes in a few playlists until I switched to social slayer. I was able to find 6/8 players and it eventually let me back out of the search.

I restarted my computer and everything after that and since I haven’t been able to launch the game it either goes past the splash screen and shows the cursor change to the halo one but the game isn’t running it still is showing my wallpaper. I’ve restarted everything multiple times since and checked for any downloads or updates and everything is good. It’s been an hour or so and I still can’t get the game to launch and play

Text chat is also not working I cannot press TAB to switch chat channels nor are all my keystrokes registering. I can type some words with missing letters then backspace will work sometimes and not others when I’m pressing it. EDIT: switching text chat to “Team only” still displays only the squad chat.
