I recently bought an Xbox and Halo V. I had a 15Gb update for Halo. Started playing campaign and everything works perfectly. I then played multiplayer and things were working great until I came across a few problems.
When i entered matchmaking, the status bar loads 4/4, and the game fails to load thereafter. I receive the following error message:
(Unable to join - request has timed out)
I followed a few steps I found online which claimed to fix this problem for other people. Mostly the Hard Reset fix. After i did that i received additional errors relating to multiplayer:
1) Unable to connect to the Halo 5: Guardians Lobby Service
2) The game refuses to synchronize when loading on the home screen, and all my data disappears until i reset
I perform a hard reset each time I encounter the errors listed above. 8 times out of 10 i will get no problems and will be able to play 1 or 2 games without any problems. The errors then repeat itself thereafter. I am convinced the problem lies with the server, otherwise i would not be able to play a game at all.
My internet connection is working properly, NAT is fine, reset my modem/router numerous times, unplugged the cables of both modem and xbox.
Why do you charge for Xbox Gold when your servers are terrible? Destiny and other games work perfectly on the PS4 with no problems at all. Bought a PS4 a year ago and have had zero problems online or solo. Have an Xbox for less than a week, huge updates, terrible server issues, can’t play halo the flagship game online, and slow OS. Definitely not impressed, perhaps the support team will be able to alleviate some of my concerns. Please help!
