I’ve been having zero luck getting into a single Arena game.
I usually only play Warzone, but lately I’ve been finding it less satisfying, so I decided to try Arena matches again. A few times a day for the last week I’ve been trying to get into Arena matches for SWAT, Slayer and even the Social Snipers playlist and for whatever reason, matchmaking just times out.
I’ve got a good connection and never drop games. I usually have my matchmaking preference set to Balanced, but even when I set it to Expanded I get nothing. Warzone usually gets me a game within a minute or two (even if it’s a half finished match and I’m so far behind I can’t catch up in the time remaining) but even so, I get games.
I’m essentially cut off from over half the online multiplayer portion of the game.
Has anyone else been experiencing this? Is it a known issue that I’ve just not been exposed to since I don’t regularly play in Arena?
You’ll be lucky to find anything during the week on balanced in stock arena playlists.
On expanded you will eventually find games in Slayer and Team Arena on US servers. Don’t expect them to be balanced though… or your shots to register.
Even on weekends I can’t seem to find anything. Are the servers really that dead or am I just playing in the wrong country?

What a shame too, finally bought an Xbox last week and the game on sale but a dead server was the last thing I expected from Halo 5.

Yeah that’s a bit of a kick in the pants for fans outside the US.
The Warzone servers are jumping, getting games is a non-issue. But if you want Arena, seems you’re gonna have your patience tested.
Shame too. I’ve been playing Halo since day dot and online since Halo 2 launched and this is the first time I’ve had this much trouble finding games.
I’m from Europe and i’m so sick of this problem too.
