Unable to find any games. No restrictions.

Hello. I am playing Halo MCC on PC via Xbox Game Pass (Windows Store Version).

I have all matchmaking servers checked, no input or platform based matchmaking on (disabled), using a controller as my preferred input method.
When I try to search ‘Any’ on Social Games, which should cover every game and gametype, it never finds anyone. I just let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Surely this game is not dead, and there is some type of issue going on?

Nevermind, it turns out there was some sort of update needed, and the Windows environment is not conducive to letting you know that.

Where’s the update because I am getting the exact same problem you had.

Current version is 1.2448.0.0

If you aren’t on that version

  1. Open the Windows Store app; click the three dots (…) on the right hand side and select ‘Downloads and updates’ from the menu; click the ‘Get Updates’ button.
  2. If no updates appear, go the the page where you buy the game. If no updates start when that page loads, reboot your PC and try the previous steps again.
