There was a preview program update (unrelated to the MCC insider program they’re doing) about 3 days ago? Give or take a day.
Anyways, about 2 weeks ago I put mcc back on my xbox and I’ve been playing a lot. From time to time, I can’t find games but that’s expected. I usually just switch playlists.
But after this most recent update to my xbox, I have not been able to get into a single multiplayer game. Every other game I have works. H5 works. I’ve tried multiple accounts as well. Still nothing.
Tried hard reset, tried internet reset. The basics I have definitely tried.
I’m just looking for suggestions. I got wayyyyy too addicted to h2 and h3 again. I miss it.
are you using ethernet or wifi use Ethernet if possible i always use it for halo mcc makes me find games quicker and make sure your nat type is open

I guess I should have mentioned. Yes. NAT open. I’m hardwired with 100/download 20/upload. Hard wired.
Again. This problem seemed to come out of nowhere, and I am in the alpha preview program.
Do you have the new xbox menu UI? I just heard today thru others, that anyone having the new UI, there is a known bug with this and match making…
can confirm, i cant find games after the update, it reads Players Found, then goes back to Searching for Players every time
I’m in the update program and have no issues finding games in mcc

in Canada, Xbox One X, and in beta preview.
(not sure if any of that matters but maybe it does?)
I also had this issue. I had to leave the beta program and install the current operating system. I’m on the one x as well. After that I was able to connect to a game on mcc immediately.
We are investigating this now.

ooo now this is interesting, may i ask if they still require a reformat / reinstall when you leave? i think i would be happy to leave the preview program to fix the problems i am having with H:MCC.

and now that i think about it it was several days ago i jumped into a match without problems and since then no matter what i try i refuses to connect.

if there is an fix, i might be tempted to stay for now and back out later.
does anyone know if i can jump back several preview rings? maybe the one @Slayerkodi is in? my current life is making the regular updates rather difficult.

Yeah, I can’t find matches in the public MCC release aswell.
Halo CE is pretty much the only game I play so it was worth it for me. Hopefully there is a fix soon and I will be able to rejoin the preview program.

Hi there, did you leave in the last few days (or before this issue)? If so how’d that work? Are you now able to play?
The Xbox Insider Team has discovered an issue with some titles (Halo MCC, Halo 5, EA Sports titles as an example) that causes matchmaking to fail. They are currently tracking a fix on this issue.

I left the program after the problem started and reinstalled the base os for Xbox one. It happens automatic when you leave and reset your Xbox.
I was able to play mcc immediately after, but it looks like the Xbox team is working on a fix so maybe it’s best to just wait.
The latest update for the alpha ring (probably on the beta too if that was having problems) came out today, and it finally fixed the matchmaking issues.
So to add to the discussion anyone know of this never ending downloading data BS. Mine had gone full over board I can’t even search for a match. I make it to the list of of different games and all of them say they are downloading latest data. Anyone having this issue?
