Hi guys, I created this topic as I have been unable to play Halo 5 online since around the time of the new xbox one experience update. When I go into multilayer and select whatever game type I want i.e. Arena or War zone etc. The game says :attempting to reach halo 5 Guardians lobby service. Then it turns red and says: unable to connect to halo 5 Guardians lobby service. Has anybody experienced the same issue? I have tried renown loading my profile, resetting my router, reinstalling the game etc. But nothing has helped. Any advice is greatly appreciated because if this can’t be fixed, I am done with Halo for good. Which would be a shame.
I’ve been having the same problem since 11/21/15 at 9pm CDT. I’ve been getting the same error message since then. I have no idea why it is happening. Hopefully 343 finds a fix soon.
Getting the same problem. 343 fix this I love halo but getting more annoyed with bugs. I never got to play halo 4 completely as there was an unfixable bug within the campaign that was tied in with my profile and xbox360
It is pathetic really. I traded in my day one xbone to get the special edition Halo console. Now it feels pointless if I can’t even play Halo. Has there been any acknowledgement from 343 regarding this issue?

I am from Ireland. I have friends who live close by who are not having the same issues. Nothing has changed on my end of things. Same Internet provider as always etc. Sorry to hear you are having the same issues but at the same time I’m glad It is not just me. Hope it gets fixed for you soon man.

I’m also experiencing this issue since the update, have 343 or way point issued a statement regarding this??
i’m having the same problem. but it comes and goes. when i actualy get in the game it starts off fine and smooth, but after awhile it starts to lag like hell and makes the game unplayable.i’ve cheked my connections and reseted everything from router to game but nothing works. are the servers over taxed or are they just very bad? (puting it nicely). in any case that needs to be fixed soon or halo will will see major dive in player numbers. and i like the game but cant enjoy it much cos of these problems
Since Friday night I’ve had issues that weren’t there before and I’ve logged a lot of hours in multiplayer. I’ve had numerous games I just get bounced from, that red message saying I’ve timed out from connecting, and then when I hit OK it doesn’t take me to the main menu but puts me immediately in campaign from my last saved checkpoint from over a week ago. I can’t get back into a lobby from there and have to then restart the game.
my IP in NJ is not the issue. I’m hoping tonight I don’t have these issues that only started after the update.
I have also had this issue since my xbox updated today. Havent been able to play at all after restarting my modem, trying wired and not wired, restarting box, etc. My NAT is open and i have a great connection. No issues at all until all today.
Has there been any news today. Should I just go down the pub?

Indeed . I’ve noticed some issues the morning with it losing connection , . I’ve played a few arena games earlier today but now it’s not working at all with warzone or arena . My NAT type is also open. I’m connected to live okay , but in halo there is no connection . Campaign is all I can play rite now. First time I’ve noticed this kind of thing 2bh.

I´m from Paraguay. Only can play a few matches of team arena and warzone. But nothing on another playlist (breakout, swat, btb, warzone assault, FFA). 343 you’re a disgrace for the gaming industry since h4 and MCC. You are a shame
From the states and I get the same error. A fix for me has been to unplug my Ethernet cable log into halo with wifi as the wifi connects fine for some reason. Anytime after that I can plug my cable back in until I log out again then I have to repeat. My NAT is open.

Have you received a response from anyone yet? This is something that needs to be addressed.
Loyal reader/ first time poster. I’ve got nothing new to add to this forum. Really i just gotta vent. I mean i cant even hunt achievements because:
