I do not know who you think you are banning a person at 3am but you need to unban me quick. I payed good money for this game and the other downloads and I do not like you telling me what I can and can not do with MY own stuff. Video game consoles are in enough trouble with out you messing with an old school gamer like me. I expect to be unbanned immediately and for for you to stay in the line of making games and not butting in to games with out warning. If you can even make games on your own…

secondly, they’ve got a reason to ban you. you most likely are reported too much for trash-talking.

If you were voice banned you were probably trash talking, making inappropriate noises through the mic, the usual stuff people mute you for. Halo 4 bans are never without reason.

No one can DECIDE what I do with anything I buy. Its an additude like that which is killing our freedoms. Yes they make the game and they host the server but online content keeps people playing. If a game is rated M then it should be rated M as in adult or close enough. I could see it for a rated E game but if you rate a game then put kid gloves on the high rating then you might as well not rate a game at all. Also yes it matters that I am an old school gamer because people like you come in to games with no history about gaming and talk like you know everything. Blockbuster video thought it could tell people how to rent and look how that ending up for them. People only put up with things till they have to. The video game industry is hurting on the console front so yes I can and will ask from people that make console games to not be so strick when I am one of a dying crowd. IE people that still give a Sh%t about console gaming. At least for the time being but stuff like this will be in the back of my mind when something better finally comes. And it will come.

Xbox 360 and PS 3 contribute in excess of 140 million to the console sales figures alone, I think they’ll be fine,

This does not give you rights to request Microsoft, or 343i for anything. Just because you bought a game they don’t owe you anything.
You, as a customer, bought the game, they received the money, end of transaction.
And unfortunately no, you cannot be unbanned, it is an automated system, thus you can only wait it out.
Its nice when someone tells you that you must do something when you buy something. Oh i think ill buy a blu ray player turn it on then by buying this BR player you agree to never buy a movie…extreme? yes but there you go I agree to nothing when I use xbox live. They can try all the legal bs they want but they can not write themselves out of the law of the usa. It has been questioned before and every time they lose something they update so they can cover themselves instead of fixing the issue that got them in to trouble in the first place. As for PS3 and xbox doing fine I will only say that Xbox took 5 years to recope the loses they took on xbox and PS3 is still losing money. Nintendo is falling behind in profits and now a new bunch of systems is coming out. You make them a sucess or failure. They PAY people to get the feel for what you want to make sure they give what you will be happy with. If I buy a game a company owes me gratitude and respect. They owe that to every single person that buys their product. You get lost in greedy people thinking that who cares about one persons complaint when there are so many people that buy from us. I thought voice bans in Halo 4 occurred after a certain number of people muted you in a lobby.
I wasn’t even aware you could be voice banned. Honestly, if you got banned you probably deserved it. I could be wrong though. Good luck on getting un voiced banned.

Explain how people who don’t own a kinetic or headset end up with voice bans and post about that here then?

From what I’ve read, it depends on how many times you are muted.
If a few people mutes you, even if you aren’t speaking or have a mic in you could get a temporary voice ban.
