Um, so there's this mode called "Theater."

Just reminding you, community and 343. It does indeed exist; it is no myth, I can guarantee you. “Theater” is in Halo 4.

Why do I say this? Well, it seems to me that the only logical explanation for Theater’s lack of improvements for over 5 years is that it was forgotten about. Can someone else offer up an explanation? Why could I watch a film with 3 of my friends in a game over 5 years old, but not in a game that’s only 2 years old – furthermore a game that’s of this year?

You would think it’s only right to improve upon the quality that a 5 year old game supplied, but here we are not even matching it.

Thoughts?

Isn’t theater confirmed already?

> Isn’t theater confirmed already?

it is there but we dont know how many people can watch at the same time.

Wow, the reason you couldn’t have more than one person in Reach’s Theater was because it was too much of a load on the system, not because they thought it was stupid. Maybe they’ve tweaked it to be able to run more than one person now in Halo 4. And there HAVE BEEN improvements to Theater since Halo 3. Namely, the ability to store a whole lot more than 100 items and the ability to use Theater to its fullest extent in Campaign replays.

I’d love for you to point out where I implied that they took out the ability to multi-view in Reach because “they thought it was stupid.”

And Halo 4’s Theater is the exact same as Reach’s. This is either laziness or forgetfulness from 343.

Sorry, I edited my post with more explanation. Read it one more time.

And how do you know?

Hopefully it’s improved From past games

Im sure it’s in we just have no info on it yet sadly…

Maybe soon…

Hum… it’s already confirmed… And i think you will be able to put the blur effect.

I would love some improvements. I would like to record at whatever speed I want rather than just normal…

Who even watches Campaign videos anyway? Like 100 people. Glad they sacrificed a widely used feature for that.

Theater has been confirmed. You’re going to be able to record through all game modes; Campaign, Sp. Ops, and War Games. Pretty cool if I should say. I see myself recording my first Campaign playthrough for the heck of it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Theater in Halo 4 is the exact same as Reach theater.

The majority of Halo’s players play the Campaign exclusively.

I have this thing called a “capture card” so I really won’t need theater unless I want to watch one of my perfection matches again / lost the capture I made of it … which would be very rare.

Now, I don’t care if theater is in or not. Because of Microsoft’$ new terms of policy, you can’t post their games on any websites… So bask in glory…(on your own, single television monitor)

Although, I must say, I would rather pretty much anything else were improved then theater.

Have you not seen how many times microsft and 343 has said. That the ToS were always the same, and that you can post videos of halo 4 and monetize it if you are partnered with a channel such as machinima. If you are not partnered then just don’t monetize, this is nothing new. Also, you can post all the stuff you want, but i think microsoft would be mad if you make a game named Halo 5.

I don’t understand, how do you kill someone with a theater? jk

Can someone confirm where they said Theater was exactly the same as Reach’s?

Totally untrue. The majority of Halo players play multiplayer. That’s beyond the point, though; multiplayer is where all of the crazy -Yoink- happens – it’s where the majority of time spent in Theater is focused. Sacrificing something so valuable like cooperative viewing for the sake of slightly improving Campaign viewing, which the majority of people have never done, is absolutely stupid.

Yes, there is a theater mode. If its in Reach, then its in 4.
