So wait you are telling me that once we pick up the flag we can not drop it??? really???
Yes. You’re correct.
As of now, yes.
In my opinion, it should encourage teamwork as long as the one carrying it is committed and knows what they’re doing.
Thats also the downside about it, trolls picking up the flag.

It encourages as much teamwork as watching a small child does.
This could be bad if someone goes afk…
> This could be bad if someone goes afk…
Or if someone holding the flag is getting hit into black screen. By DDOS attacks.
I’ll never pull the flag if that’s confirmed true. Never.

Watching a child can require a lot of team effort sometimes…
But anyways, I think it’ll help teamwork because the flag carrier, even with a Magnum is still vulnerable. With dropping the flag, you didn’t always have to focus on the carrier as much because he could either juggle it and get out really fast, or drop it and defend himself. Now you have to focus and defend him. And only teamwork will defend him against the other team.
In theory, it will provide more teamwork and make sure flag carriers are committed.
> I’ll never pull the flag if that’s confirmed true. Never.
All right then.
Now the people who are committed to carrying the flag can carry the flag. You just gotta be a good escort.

It encourages stat--Yoink!- gameplay.

yea im not happy about this lol hahah but why can they maybe hav a set time. Like when you pick up the flag there is a timer set and when the little timer ends you can drop the flag. idk anyone else like my idea???
I don’t know what to think about this. It could turn out alright, or it could make me hate CTF.

Hmm?
By making sure people who carry the flag are committed to carrying the flag?
It should make it so, more often, a good carrier has the flag. And now your team needs to focus on the carrier more, as in team efforts to keep your vulnerable flag carrier alive.

You get a waypoint over your head to the enemy team as well (if I saw correctly) you can’t hide to stat pad, they will know where you are.
Though it could be used as bait to help your team mates K/D boost. we’ll have to wait and see.
this is a bad idea.
it discourages teamwork and encourages lone wolfing because:
-you can defend yourself now, with a magnum
-you can walk at normal speeds with the flag (or so it seemed)
-you cannot pass the flag to teammates
@JSA343: um you forgot that the flag carrier has a magnum. even if players do need to defend him more, this point is negated by the three points i listed above.
oh yeah it also decreases skill gap, since you cannot juggle now.

A magnum won’t do much to a user or users with BRs and DMRs. Its not like its a power weapon… its a side arm. You won’t get far on your own unless you’re dead on aim with it.
It will be more teamwork oriented because the carrier is at more of a disadvantage than in the past.
-You only have a magnum to defend yourself, you can’t switch to more powerful weapons by dropping the flag.
-Everyone knows where you are… there is a waypoint above your head.
The flag carrier is at as much of a disadvantage as before… maybe even more. All you have is a side-arm, and the enemy has AAs and many other more powerful weapons. And they always knkw where you are.
If you pick up the flag, you need to be committed.

Yes.

Are you talking about the Stalker perk or about the flag-carrier being the one who stat-whores? A flag-carrier can’t stat--Yoink!-, and will never be able to in Halo, no matter the mechanics revolving the flag.

The magnum is weak in comparison to the other load out guns you would likely not kill someone who has a BR with the magnum.
The point of juggling was to move faster now you don’t need to, and lets be honest it wasn’t skillful or even remotely hard to do.

well this sucks.

And team work, what team work, most of the time people don’t use team work, most games I’m in, the most team work comes from me and my party of friends. I much rather be force to hold the flag until I either die, or score the flag, cause hearing the “FLAG DROPPED! FLAG TAKEN!” isn’t a sign of skill, it’s a sign of someone being annoying as -Yoink-, trying to force others.
Slow movement = team work
not being able to put the flag down = TEAM WORK
And here’s why, if both teams has the flags, it’s up to your team to hunt down the flag.
