So checked the mail today and found a package from best buy sitting in my mail staring at me. I quickly rip it open to find my Halo 4 LE… I put it in on my lunch hour and start playing the campaign. I get the first mission done and get “Cd scratched error” And… now i havent been able to do anything with the game since. Ive tried cleaning the disc. Ive stared at it with a light trying to figure out what is wrong with it, just to come to the conclusion there seems to be a perfect scratch around the disc rendering it unusable… So talk about a day of great highs then lows.
Go to your local bestbuy. You must have a warranty. And tell them to give you another one.
Sorry for coming across a little skeptical, But your service record states you have yet to play halo 4 at all… What be up with that?

I don’t think it will work. I tried it with my Halo 3 the other day so I could beat it and while installing it said the disc is scratched and I was unable to install 
Well if it was as simple as going to the bestbuy, i would have already. But sadly the closest one is 2.5hrs drive away.attempting to install the disc as we speak, though it is sketchy with it. And i have played it. If you look onto my achievements of my gamer tag you’ll see mission one completed. And the reason i think my service record doesn’t show it is my modem was being upgraded at the time thus no internet connection

My H3 is in perfect working order, not even downloaded on my xbox, i did on reach though cause all the new additions, and glad I have works perfectly still, and its the most used game i have, I had Dragon age 1 borrowed froma friend, and my xbox completely screwed me and did the perfect circle on the disc, useless, the disc download only works if
A: The disc is readable to download
B: Even after download if it does NOT detect the disc at all (say believes its a movie) it will NOT work
I would defiantly go to bestbuy with the disc and warranty and request a new one, or wherever else you purchased
If you can’t install your copy see if a friend has it and install theirs. Your game will still load off your disc even with the error.
Online order, and wont load anything now. It sometimes realizes Halo4 is in the tray other times it jut “Play Game” so its hooped. Talking to bestbuy right now and having them send me a new copy of the game. None of my friends that live here ordered the game lol. So im sol till the new copy shows up.
This happened to me when I got my reach a day early, mine was because my bro bumped my original 360. I had to take my disc to Wallace video store, and they resurfaced it for $3.
makes me wonder if in my giggyness i bumped my xbox, but alas. Tomorrow Ill have a new copy on my way to me
Then, I’d contact Best Buy and tell them of your situation and the next time you go near to your Best Buy get them to swap the disc for a new one. Sounds like a waste of money if you are prepared to let it go 'cause you have a new one arriving tomorrow. at least you’d have a spare or you can sell it.
there replacing the copy. I just have to send mine back when i recieve my new one thats all
