Ultimate Community Wishlist.

This thread is a very long list of things that people believe to be added into Halo 4. The ‘people’ are members of the online community, online posters, and me and some friends. We have thought long and hard as to what should be added into this game, and cam up with the following.

Part one: Weapons.

  1. The Battle Rifle - Replaces the Designated Marksman Rifle.

  2. The Covenant Carbine - Replaces the Needler Rifle.

  3. The Halo 3 Magnum - Replaces the current Reach variant.

  4. Brute grenades (Spikes/Incineration grenades).

  5. Beam Rifle - To replace the Focus Rifle.

Part two: Vehicles.

  1. Keep Chain, Gauss and Rocket Warthog.

  2. Keep both Falcon and Hornet.

  3. Use Halo 3 Banshee. (Slower, less maneuverable)

  4. Keep Revenants and Ghosts.

  5. Remove Wraith (Or keep with less health).

  6. Keep Scorpion tank.

  7. Introduce Covenant equivalent of Falcon (Pilot has no weapons, two passengers with turrets.

Part three: Armory.

  1. Use the current Reach armory, and incorporate it in halo 4.

  2. Add new armour, and armour from Halo 3/Reach.

  3. Add an armory for Elites with Halo 3 customization and Halo 3/Reach/new armour.

  4. Add new armour effects.

Part four: Gameplay aspects.

  1. Introduce a competative ranking system that awards winning and performance, not game completion.

  2. Add 1-50 ranking system.

  3. Keep credits as a separate system to EXP.The credits pay for armour but offer no aid in leveling up.

  4. Make armour unlocked by three requirements: Level, achievements and credits.

  5. Add duel wielding to all small arms weapons.

Conclusion.
I will update this list the next time I am online. But I hope I have listed several of your opinions. If not, feel free to post them to help in the expansion of this list.

Thanks for the feedback.

Replace the needle rifle with the carbine? The needle rifle it’s so much cooler. Plus it esplodes! Lulz.

I don’t understand why people want this stuff. Why can’t you just go and play Halo 3 because thats what you want Halo 4 to be. The servers are still up. Please don’t listen to these idiots 343 and make a fresh new experience. No returning weapons, vehicles, maps etc. Just make everything brand spanking new.

How about we don’t take any weapons out of the game, and include them all. At least for the sake of customs.

Halo 4 needs to be the ultimate apology/love letter to fans. Weapons, vehicles, and custom game options need to be able to replicate the experience from every Halo. With new additions of course, such as individual weapon damage.

You can tailor the ranked MM to be Halo 3.5 if you want, but PLEASE don’t ruin the fun for the rest of us. The community is horribly divided in what they want, and for once I think it’s perfectly possible to satisfy everyone. Just include every weapon, vehicle and powerup in the Halo franchise, and add things like regen health, more options for movement speed, a toggle and options for strafe and aim acceleration, individual weapons damage, explosive damage and radius to customs, and VOILA! Everyone’s happy…for once.

With those options added to custom games, not only could we fully replicate Halo 1-Reach’s gameplay, but we’d also finally be able to see forge maps suited to each game’s style.

Also… replace the focus rifle with the beam rifle? They’re the same damn thing, but one has a scope.

Pretty much everything else I am happy with (aside from removing weapons, I’d rather have the ability to choose than get rid of them altogether), but this, I really don’t understand. Does the Wraith really need nerfing?

In a flat out fight between it and the Scorpion, the Wraith will loose every single time due to the Scorpion dealing out higher damage, even at a faster rate. Not to mention the UNSC tank is a hell of a lot easier to aim than it’s Covenant counterpart, both due to the straight-line projectile and the fact the shell travels significantly quicker. If anything, the Scoprpion’s the tank which needs nerfing, but I’d rather see the Wraith get a buff than anything else. Maybe up the ROF to what they have in CE or something.

I hope you change the title to Ultimate Community List, because this isn’t what the community wishes for. Halo needs something unique, at the same time draw back to the past. Most of this is just Halo 3 with the better stuff of Halo: Reach. Keep in mind that I, and I think I speak for most, want new ideas that are better, and capable of doing with the advancements in development on the Xbox 360.

Please don’t integrate Reach’s Armory i hate almost every armor piece, don’t know why but… well guess i don’t like the style.

This is one of the few times that I’m going to agree with anyone who makes the accusation of “it’z not Halo three!!!”

What matters is keeping classical gameplay, not exact features.

BRs, warthogs, exp etc. don’t matter… what matters is how the game plays.

The reason people hate the DMR is because of the randomness inherent in its poor bloom implementation, not the weapon itself. The reason people hate credits is because there’s no (or very minuscule) reward for good game performance, not because the letters no longer read “EXP.”

Don’t get distracted by semantics. We don’t “need” a BR, we need a consistent, accurate utility weapon. We don’t “need” EXP, we need a leveling system which rewards good performance. We don’t “need” all 3 warthogs, we need a variety in good/fun/balanced vehicles.

The exact names/looks/functions of each are irrelevant as long as their replacements operate properly.

> Also… replace the focus rifle with the beam rifle? They’re the same damn thing, but one has a scope.

Actually… one is a powerful continuous laser, the other is a plasma sniper round. They couldn’t really be more different…

> Please don’t listen to these idiots 343

Please refrain from name-calling. It’s not very polite.

If you want something that new you could always go play a different game theres tons out there

I just really want the Beam Rifle or a Halo 4 version of it, and more armor choices

I’d like to see a deep campaign, that isn’t just an entry to the game that would soon be tossed off for multiplayer. It should last more than 12 hours, and the analyse feature should definitely return (without being kinect exclusive), with a library. It would definitely deepen the story and lore, which is what a halo game needs for once.

Why would we replace the Reach magnum with the Halo 3 one? That doesn’t seem like a beneficial change at all.

This is FAR from the “ULTIMATE” community wishlist because you’re generalizing everyone into what you post…

I for one think the BR is a worthless piece of inconsistent garbage that has never provided us with much precision like the Halo 1 Pistol and DMR did. Single shot precision weapons are the way to go for the human side (along with hitscan).

Case. Closed.

Elephants please.

Also I would like more textures for most or all objects in forge and weather FX.

Heres my post from a thread about armor Elite Armor Customization for Halo 4, provided they are in, of course.

> How about:
>
> You have preset elites like in Halo: Reach that you unlock as you get both rank and preform a certain achievement/challenge (that is always available like a long term challenge), but when you select a preset, you go into a further customization that allows you to modify the helmet, chest, left and right shoulders and wrists, knees and maybe even shoes. But only the shoulders and wrists can be individually modified, as to retain some uniformity. Also add character voice, not just for Firefight. I dont mean 16 players running around talking non stop, just the sounds the elite make are different like the panting while he runs or his laugh when he assassinates another guy. Maybe there could be lower and higher voices, special character voices (Thel’ Vadam’ee, Ripa’ Moram’ee etc.) different noises made between each setting (lower voice tends to “Hmmmphh.” in contempt when he kills a human, a higher voice laughs more).
>
> One possible end result is a, say if you selected a minor, Minor with possibly extra fins on the side of the helmet, fancy ornamental mandible guards, holographic eye-targeter, left shoulder has extra lights on, right shoulder has an emblem pad, chest has aero-dynamic grooves and extra back armor pad (cosmetic only), Left wrist has a flashlight on it, right has an extra thick wrist armor pad, knees have extra long knee guards on (maybe the elite wanted the extra support because his knees are sore), Boots have an elongated heel (outwards, not down, it isnt a 40 year old woman at a dinner party). The armor is purple mainly with a black secondary and a purple trim. His voice is a bit lower than the average.
>
> The gear would be different for the different presets, but basically its the same class of elite with personal additions, plus personalized color and voice.
>
>
>
> Also, i just got this idea, what if in Multiplayer when you’re stuck, you let out a roar or when you get a sword or charge someone with a sword you make a bit of a laugh or agitated growl, thirsting for more battle.

Make Firefight more like ODST please.

Wow, pulled the words right out of my mouth. I even copied those two for such an occasion…

On another note. I’d like to see proof that we will even be dealing with the covenant in Halo 4. Because from my perspective we’ll be dealing with mostly (if not entirely) new human and forerunner based equipment/weapons/vehicles.
