UK GAME console + Limitted Edition.

So I was wondering how I’d go about doing this.
I plan on getting myself the console Halo 4, but that only comes with the regular edition of Halo 4, and I would rather have the limited edition.
(Unless I’m missing something, I lose out on a few things by going for console rather than limitted, which is stupid to be honest).

So first of all, what do I lose from just getting the console rather than limitted?
Secondly, for anyone who knows, is there any way to make sure I can trade in the halo 4 regular edition for limitted on the day. (They may be sold out or have all their copies reserved by then).

Thanks.

as far as I know, everything in the ltd edt that isn’t in the reg edt is what you lose, I can’t remember contents without checking it somewhere though
I’m getting both ldt edt and console and then selling my current console and spare h4 copy to a friend so he can play as well.

I have no idea about trading in the normal edt from console on the day as I think in comes in the console box so you’d be opending it all up there. not sure as I’ve never bought 360 since the arcade one a few years back

If you get the C.E. the standard copy of the game only comes with the code for Spartan Ops.

You do not get FUD, Recruit Armour, Prime Skins, UNSC Cryo chamber avatar item and the War Games pass that has all of the map packs for free. WG map packs also come with two exclusive helmets (Strider and Scanner) this is all Limited Edition content.

You would however in the console edition get FOTUS armour, Crawler avatar pet and a weapon skin.

Depends what you want more

When I preordered at GAME, they said you get all the digital content with the console that you get with the LE, however you don’t get the LE’s cool casing, spartan briefing pack or FUD bonus content. Mere collectibles but I guess some people care.

Also:

LE = Recruit
LE CONSOLE = FOTUS

depends which armour you prefer

There’s a few different answers there.
some say I get all digital content I would get with LE and just lose out on physical content, some say I lose everything including the wargames map pack.

If you get both (LE and CE), then you could trade in a copy of Halo 4 from the CE or just sell the copy to someone you know full price because then you’d have your LE Halo 4 Copy. That’s what I would of done.

selling to a friend sounds reasonable.

what codes will I have multiple times? (I think I’ll have two specialization codes, cause game are doing that as a pre-order bonus and since I’ll be pre-ordering both, they should both come with it).

You’ll have the GAME Exclusive Spartan Armour and Arctic BR Skin multiple times. Apparently: you’ll get 6 Specializations multiple times.

You’ll know what you’ll get when you see it. :3

Pre-order console and LE, then sell the original copy for like £39 on eBay or Amazon.co.uk.

Sorted.

I completely understand the mixed feelings about this one, having the same internal conflict myself really.

While I haven’t quite made up my mind just yet, being unemployed can be such a pain in trying to plan for things like that, I get the feeling I’ll be buying the LE console and game, trade in the SE of the game, and trade in my current console (after moving some data over from it to the new one).

L.E. in my view is far far better value for money…

Know that feeling, that’s what I’ve gone for execpt I’m going for the console trade on the next Xbox. I’m gona give the standard edition to a friend.

It is. And that annoys me. Because I really want the CE. I just can’t stop thinking how awkward it is trying to get it all sorted out.

343, this is how these things should be done;

Tier 1: Regular item.
Tier 2: Regular item + Bonus content.
Tier 3: Regular item + Bonus content + Extra content.

not

Tier 1: Regular item.
Tier 2: Regular item + Bonus content + Exclusive content.
Tier 3: Regular item + Extra content.

And the armors don’t really bother me much. I’ll be using FOTUS no matter what, so I don’t think we’d need the other two types of armor, but things like the wargames map pass… Come on. You’ll give that to people who pay £60 but not to people who pay £270?

To my knowledge the specialisations come with the CE if preordered from GAME as a preorder bonus. This means that you’re only loosing out on the Armor and DLC maps that come with the LE, something that will be released later on as DLC anyway. However you do seem to get less additional content with the CE than with the LE so buying both and selling the extra copy of Halo 4 would be the best option. Then you would also have another code for the specialisations, that you could sell to people who bought just the CE.

This is how it is.

Console comes with ALL the digital content that the LE comes with, and not the physical content. Also, LE comes with Recruit armour and Console comes with FOTUS. The fact you’re getting it from GAME means you’ll get the access to 6 specialisations whether you buy the LE or the CONSOLE.

Im getting the LE, as 1) The console is ugly to me. 2) I want the PHYSICAL content. 3) Recruit armour > Fotus Armour.

Do you have any confirmed source for that? because looking around, i can’t see anything about the map packs. and in the long run, i save money i would have had to worry about later with the map packs anyway.

You don’t miss anything special because the content that’s unlocked from day one in the Limited Edition will be unlocked for everyone later. The thing you’re missing out on is the armor but you could probably buy it from ebay. The armor you get with the console is going to cost more.

If it’s the Fotus armour you want… get that off ebay and buy the Limited Edition.

Best of both worlds, that’s what I’m doing.

(Unless you absolutely need a new 360, go for it)

I unfortunately don’t have any proof I can show you, but this is what I was told by 2 employees at GAME when I preordered it myself.

In terms of map packs, I would assume you’d get it with the console, I don’t see why not (as its DIGITAL content). However, if you don’t, then you can easily purchase the map pack pass from the xbox live market place on the 6th of November, for £20.

You can always go in and ask someone at GAME yourself.
