I have noticed that there are lots of clans and other people not following the rules on bumping threads, as they are bumping every few days, sometimes every few hours, rather than once a week (as is stated in the waypoint welcome to the recruiting forum) which is causing recruitment problems for those actually following the rules.
I would monitor the recruitment thread if I could. In just 10 mins of browsing I found 3 different clans that were violating the bumping rule. Common, give it a rest people, seriously.
> As long as their not making multiple threads I don’t really see the big deal. If the rules are actually like that then wow. lol
The problem is it becomes a huge war to see who can stay on top the longest. eventually, it will devolve into everyone posting every couple of hours because they have been pushed 5 pages back. It’s rediculous

Just report the ones who bump too often or have more than one thread.
In my experience everyone I have reported gets moderated by one of the monitors within 24 hours.
I don’t comment, I don’t leave a post, I report and I move on. The monitors here will enforce the rules if you’ll report the violators.
The problem is sometimes it wont let you make a new thread. I’ve had a thread on page 3 and tried to make a new one and it said there was a thread too similar so I couldn’t post it.

Well you’re not supposed to make a new thread. what you are allowed to do is once a week “bump” your thread. However, it has to be relevant. You can’t just add a comment saying bump or just more advertisement.
What I do is a make a significant change to the original message and then say “edited OP.”

well now I just feel stupid for not doing that in the first place.

While I have seen mods pick people up for it…I seem to have had no luck with my reports. Still I will try again.
No offence but you are wasting peoples recruiting space with posting this thread! I mean if you are trying to start a clan that just complains about bumping then i understand, but your not so stop posting limited threads about bumping and let those people trying to reruit people for a clan a chance yourself. hipper crip much?I understand where your coming from but just go discuss it somewhere else other than the recruitment forum.

really? well seeing as
A) it has everything to do with recruiting, therefore it should be in the recruiting section (it would be moved if it were anywhere else)
B) I am in no way, shape, or form promoting my own clan, therefore I cannot be a hypocrite (if your gonna say it, say it right)
C) This thread takes up (count it) 1 slot, whereas constant bumping takes up probably 4 slots per illegally bumped thread per day.
D) Last I checked, there aren’t 50 other anti-bumping threads all competing to be at the top of the page and bumping every day. Bang goes your case.
E)This thread is meant to bring attention to a problem that, when resolved, will create MORE room for clan advertising. Bang goes your case again.
So, ya. 'nuff said.
P.S. Just because you say no offense doesn’t automatically mean you can say whatever you want without offending the other person.
Highlighted section is a perfect example.

Seems you are getting a bit bent out of shape over nothing. Kegler already told you what to do to report offending posts, you do not need to continue with this post in some vane attempt to be made a moderator of this forum. Which it seems to me is your purpose.
And, if that “offends” you, “build a bridge and get over it.”

Didn’t your mother ever teach you not to flamebait?
